Our Cure

Post#1 » by Celtics_85 » Mon Feb 9, 2009 8:22 pm

Has to start with Tom T. getting this defense back to where it was last year. I think the players and organization need to look at what got us to where we were last year. Forget who is out there to make us better and focus on being the number one defense again. This is surprising that even KG seems to have lost this mindset. It will be the cureall to what ails this team, as the offense can score enough points if we just play better defense again!!!

You make a valid argument and I feel it's going to be interesting to see how this issue developes once the trade deadline has come and gone. Its hard to get guys on bored, as well as coaches, with all the trade speculation going around, not knowing who is gonna be impacting the team come playoffs. Als right now it possible that coaches have to show off some guys more than they would like (hopefully Tony Allen) in order to entice a trade.

All I'm saying is its hard to bench guys who arn't performing when 1) your winning games, and 2) some players are potentially going to get traded, and 3) everyone knows this rotation is not going to be the rotation going into the playoffs. One hope this would inspire the Tony Allens and Leon Powes of the world to play harder and earn there spot, but instead its just been frustrating to watch and we'll see how this all develops after the trade deadline and we know who is on our team..
