Biscuit I'm still waiting to hear which five teams you think are better than the Celtics.

You might have your own thread/shrine now, but you still don't know anything about anything. You make this board a pain in the ass to read, ruining every game thread, regurgitating your "knowledge" once and again, making people run for their own medications.
You make yourself scarce as soon as the Celtics win though, which I guess is a good thing so I'll give you credit for that.
By the way, you are the first and only Celtics poster to ever rock a Kobe avatar, for crying out loud. The old timers here won't forget it. Goes to show how much of a **** Celtics fan you are. My lamp here beside me bleeds more green than you. Even my toilet paper bleeds more green than you.
exculpatory, you really rock; however, counting passing cars would be more productive than wasting your energy (and genuinely good intentions) with this gentleman.
(I'm going back under my rock now, to surface again in maybe six months, or a couple of years, or never again.)
Honestly, this sums my feelings up. I simply could not stand this board from the time we won last year until just recently. I cannot stand the negativity, not just from Joe, but from many posters. We're spoiled as a fan base, and even more so with the Bruins this year. Just enjoy the ride guys, please.

All this negativity sucks! (Where are you, Rick Pitino?)
We have the Sox, Pats, Celtics, and even Bruins doing great...
We are **** 41-11...stop bitching!

3. Celtics bench is awful They have no player that can anchor the bench. We have no idea when a player comes off the bench how he will do. TA, Powe, and Big baby are not very good players. I do not believe they would even been in the rotation on the Cavs or Lakers. House is the celtics best bench player. Problem is he is being used as a PG and he cannot handle the ball. The weak bench is only going to hurt the celtics as the season goes on. Ainge did absolutely nothing to improve this bench in the offseason.
I think this point is entirely valid. Last year, we had Posey coming off the bench. He wasn't our go-to scorer for the second unit since we often had one of the Big Three in the game, but he provided a reliable deep threat, could play good defense and score an occasional bucket.
This year, we don't have anyone capable of providing what Posey provided.
1. House is hot and cold and when he's the second unit PG, we lose 8-10 before our offense is set since House can't dribble for his life.
2. Tony Allen can score, but he's reckless to the point where I'm not sure if he's going to shoot the basket or dribble the ball off his foot.
3. Powe/Davis - I know this board has debated the merits of both players, but the fact remains that both are undersized and have trouble scoring consistently when they are matched against a bigger player.
Solution.....we need to do whatever we can to get someone like Joe Smith. Otherwise, we won't have a chance this year to repeat.

I am glad someone agrees with me. The celtics starters are not the problem; the bench is. Look at what Odom did yesterday. I know he usually comes off the bench but do the celtics even have a player like that they could put in the starting line up and be that productive? No.
The bench is the reason the Cavs and Lakers are a better teams. The celtics starters are great (well beside Perk) but they can only do so much. Without a Posey we do not win the title last year. This year we do not have a Posey type player coming off the bench.

Joe
We can certainly agree about the need for the Celts to bolster the bench to maximize their chances of repeating.
We can legitimately disagree about whether or not they can win #18 without any changes - in my view simply because they have the best big 3 in the NBA, who are going to be more focused than ever because of these recent heartbreaking, very close losses to contenders.
That constitutes "realistic", non-negative discussion.
If you can restrain yourself from giving up on games when they are half over, and making absurdly negative predictions such as ""we are so bad now that we are heading back to 0.500 by March" etc etc, and occasionally post appropriate kudos when we kick someone's ass, you will be taken more seriously by people such as myself, SD (a former mod and a great guy who was furious with you last night as you read in this thread), Particle Man and others who get pissed off when you spout off irrationally negative comments constantly.
Try that out????
Peace and good wishes.

SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Go Celtics.
John, how is the season going? You still torching teams from behind the 3 point line?
Hey man, Yeah, the season is going good right now. We started off badly and were in relegation battle. Then the board changed coaches and signed one of the best Icelandic players ever, who played in top division in Greece. He completely turned the team around and now we're looking at playoffs and we're in the cup finals, next sunday. It's going great.
