4 Greatest Celtics

Bill Russell (11 Championships, 5 MVP's, 12 All Star Teams)
John Havlicek (8 Championships, 13 All Star Teams, Finals MVP)
Sam Jones (10 Championships, Boston Celtics Mr. Last Shot on All Ten Championship Teams)
Larry Bird (3 Championships, 3 MVP's)

If Pierce can step up to lead the Celtics to
three MORE championships, that will help his standing,
but he'd need to lead the Celtics to 3 more Championships
to get consideration.

To me it starts out pretty easy:

Russell LOCK, No discussion of this
Ted Wiliams Greatest hitter of all time
Orr After Gretzky he is next on almost everyones list

Then it gets hard. Bird or Brady. Was Bird a better basketball player than Brady was a football player??? Maybe. Its very close But for or symmetry I go Brady. One from each sport.

If we're going based on rings, it'd be Bird, Russ, Brady, and Ortiz (for the modern fan)...

All-time would have to be Ted Williams, Orr, Russell, and Brady
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Return to Boston Celtics
