..... they will be stronger than Celtics or Lakers.

Am I right? or what?

Hope this trade won't happen.

I think where the spurs are weak right now isn't the wing, it's the interior.

Duncan/Bonner is IMO not as good as KG/Perk or Gasol/Odom/Bynum and maybe not even Z/Wallace/Varejao because of Bonner's defensive shortcomings (and Kurt Thomas is too old).

Parker/Ginobili/Mason+Bowen is certainly compareable to Pierce/Allen/Rondo or Lebron/West/Williams/Sczerbiak/Pavlovic/Gibson (wow the cavs are ****ing deep..i never thought about it) as ridiculous as it seems not neccessarily on talent but on chemistry and spacing, and while Parker/Ginobili/Carter is definitely scary, i don't know if there's enough possessions to go around where carter's talent really makes them THAT much better (though it does make thier outside better).

As ridiculous as it might sound, the spurs' weakness this year might be thier DEFENSE, at least on an upper tier level.

NOt sure this would really help the Spurs that much. Carter is in my opinion would be like a younger Michael Finley for them, not necessarily going to put them over the top. Carter's never really been a winner and hasn't really shared the ball on a winning team before. There will be ego and chemistry adjustments happening and I don't know if 30 some games is long enough for them to gel and push them over the top. Could be like a jason kidd in dallas thing.

For some reason, Carter on the Spurs doesn't scare me. San Antonio's core is still young, but their role players (Finley, Bowen, Kurt Thomas) aren't what they used to be. The Spurs have always seemed like a system team more than a star team.

I would assume, Oberto and Bowen would be going back to the Spurs in wink wink deal after 30 days.

Oh boy, it would be real nice to get Bowen and Oberto via free agency! Doubt it, but who knows.

Bowen would be an amazing pick up, but i assume both he and oberto would be straight back to the spurs if it went through... unless maybe the spurs didnt want to push the leagues interest by signing both back

I don't think he stops being Wince Carter because he changes jerseys. Soft as a sponge and made of glass.

Dammit sully you beat me to it! VC has the emotional and mental makeup of a perpetually PMSing 14 yr old girl...I'd love to see his mood swings disrupt the Spurs (not that they would...Duncan and Popp would kick his ass if he tried to!)
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
