Worried about Scal

Post#1 » by Banks2Pierce » Wed Feb 25, 2009 2:34 am

I am very worried about Scal with the latest news that he is flying back to Boston already.

He suffered 2 concussions in 3 days and then sat out a week. And I don't care what the team says, he suffered another one last night. Did you see his eyes when he was on the floor and the awkward way that he fell? Didn't look good at all.

Concussions are dangerous and I am worried that they might shut him down for a long period of time. I dealt with concussions a few times in football and was told at one point if I got another concussion that I would be out for a month. My cousin lost a whole season due to concussions.

I am worried we may have lost him for the season. Maybe I am just a worrier, but you don't mess with a guy's brain.

I'm with you. That was a bad sign last night. He needs to be kept out for awhile. He is just not recovered.

The most important thing is his health, so he should sit out until the doctors are certain he is 100%.

That was tough watching him take that bellyflop to the court, and like ya said he looked completely out of it getting up. I hope he surprises us by being back in uniform for Friday in Boston but I'm not holding my breath.
It's so sad because fans were FINALLY starting to come around on the guy(no, not mocking cheers when he checks in) and he just runs into a string of bad luck.

Ever strain your neck or pass out crooked on the couch? A neck strain can be unbarable and very tricky to shake. Im sure he's getting an MRI on his head and neck, and simply taking it easy. No need to worry. We got Baby and Powe finally playing consistent.

I'm afraid he might miss up to 6 to 8 weeks with this latest concussion (even though they're not labeling it a concussion, it sure looked like one to me). It's too bad. Scal has really turned it around since January...
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

I'm just here for the memes.

I have played rugby for years and suffered many a concussion.

The one thing I have to say regarding Scal, is if he indeed did get another concussion in his last game, then he has about a year and 11 months to get 3 more in order to getting a handicap plate....just like me...

Good luck....

Yeah----But he KNOCKED DOWN those free throws!!....I'm really rooting for Scal---seems like a good guy....He got a raw deal from a lot of fans simply cause he tried to do too much when he first got here-instead of being himself----took him a long time to dig his way out of that....and now he gets hurt repeatedly when he FINALLY got the city on his side-!

What I recall seeing was a needlessly hard foul caused by a frustrated team that was playing dirty. Scal shoulnd't be in this situation.

If fact, I'll go further to say that IMO the NBA is too dirty. The refs need to start calling more hard fouls to clean it up. What was that when Ray Allen got run over? We're lucky he didn't get hurt. I don't know how far back this all goes, and it's been like this for a long time, but this isn't Rugby or even ice hockey. There's physical and then there's dirty.

We need more guys like Ray Allen and fewer like Kenyon Martin and Ron Artest.
