Tonight's loss shows we could use Marbs

Post#1 » by Dirty Water » Thu Feb 26, 2009 6:20 am

House looks like he has never passed a basketball in his life and Rondo can barely shoot 50% FTs. Embarrasing loss tonight. But that silver lining is that help's on the way, Pierce was playing hurt and KG and Scal (yes Scal!) were out.

Although it was a terrible loss to a terrible team, it was the end of a road trip and this sort of stuff happens. Blame it on the refs all you want (I'd like to! Clippers allowed to call timeout and get possession after big baby offensive rebound? WTF?) Hopefully Cleveland can drop a few gimmes and we'll be alright. I'm really looking forward to the Marbury era. This game just was the final tell sign that we could use him.

Celtics need someone who can handle the ball. This team has a bunch of TO machines on it. Plus I am guessing that Marbury can shoot better than 50% from the line. It is really an embarrassment at how poorly Rondo shoots FT.

It would indeed be nice if Rondo shot free throws better than Shaq (well, Shaq is shooting a percentage point less - 62% to 63%, but still). I'm a huge fan of Rondo, but when we lose because he can't hit free throws, it's really aggravating.

I was wondering who'd bring up Steph

without mentioning that Tony Allen was out and KG was out (Scal too).

I didn't think that it would be you, Ghost.

If Tony was there to give Ray or PP a breather,
this game is over.

Tony could handle Baron Davis
while House or Rondo handles the easier Eric Gordon.

If anything the LAC game showed we were tired and wanted to go home, if anything it showed we need Antoine! :D
