Reunited and it feels so good...

I can't tell you how excited I am to see these two take the floor together for the first time. I have been a KG fan since he came in the league. I lived iin Minny for a while and had season tickets for a few years, and it will be very fun to see these two play with each other again.

I think KG will motivate steph, but wanting Steph to succeed is going to motivate KG, too. He knows that Steph will have the fingers pointed at him if this doesn't work, and he'll want to help his old friend. KG will be riding Steph constantly, trying to instill the fire and discipline in him.

I think this lights a fire under everyone.

He and Garnett aren't good friends anymore. It'll take more than a brief reunion in Boston before these two would regard themselves as friends. I'm sure Garnett wants him to succeed while here, but it isn't so much he's rooting for him as much as it's that he expects him to come in and work hard. Conversely, if Marbury thinks this is a free ride to a NBA Finals. He'll be sadly mistaken. Sure, he's ecstatic now but players often feel happy just to be out of a previous bad situation. Let's see where his head is at in April.

It's a good story for the media to write up about two former teammates that somehow find themselves on the same team again. But, fans of either player must realizes that Garnett and Marbury won't be a tandem in Boston. No. It's Pierce, Garnett and Ray and Rondo and everyone else. Marbury is a part of the "everyone else."

Totally agree that Steph is a part of everyone else and has a lot to prove. KG isn't going to cut him slack and will likely be his harshest critic.

But if you know KG, you know that he is loyal to a fault. Even if he treats Steph as just another teammate in the lockerroom, this isn't just another teammate. This is a chance to (re)write history and right some wrongs in the process.

Hopefully KG isn't still bitter about what Marbury said about him in Phoenix.

Yes. That's interesting. You don't really know as fans how Garnett feels about Marbury being his teammate again. Sure, he'll provide the local media with a few assuring comments that he's about team first and won't object to his addition to the team or will say he doesn't see it as a good move. Because in the end, Ainge makes the ultimate decisions as far as personnel moves.

Everyone keeps talking about Garnett. Garnett. Garnett. Part of me feels concern that Garnett is somewhere biting his tongue. Because who else on the team knows Marbury better than Garnett? It's strange that you've two players, Garnett and Marbury, who are quite talkative players who might not talk that much to each other. Watch, the media will key on that. Are they speaking to one another? You know, with Garnett out indefinitely. I see that as a good thing. It'll give Matbury time to acclimate himself with teammates and the coaching staff without the pressure to interact with Garnett in an informal way.
