Something that I was thinking *Celtics outsmarting the NBA*

Post#1 » by DieselCeltic » Fri Mar 20, 2009 7:11 pm

Do you guys believe that there's certain things that happen "behind the curtains" normal folks like us don't ever get to know. Different unique strategies that teams "secretly" use but use another "excuse"..

I know KG's injury was probably a real one - he doesn't like missing games but maybe the team is deliberately resting our best players to get them ready for the playoffs. Firstly, KG gets injured and he's about to come back. Then Big Baby gets injured, but he RECOVERS at the same time, Powe gets injured...Coincidence ???? Leon getting injured right before big baby goes out...I think ray allen comes back and paul pierce also gets "injured" and he comes back for the playoffs...rondo also sat down, and marbury came right in..now eddie house is also injured...

I think C's are confident and they don't even care about HCA at this point...

Pierce and Ray were playing a lot more minutes than they should have so I don't think they are resting players

What do you do for a living? Because you have way to much time on your hands.LOL

Couldn't disagree with your post anymore. Last year was ideal in that they rested the star players the last 10 game of the reg season. that also help contribute to their rust in the first round.

To some degree what your saying has a grain of truth. There is no "behind the curtains" about it though. Ainge has said, at least once, that they are going to err on the side of health and being rested. I think KG probably has been ready for some time. I think him not being on the bench could be a sort of compromise. The team doesn't want him playing even at 90% because they don't want him to re-injure himself, KG doesn't want to sit on the bench if he knows he can't play. If he was out with a more serious injury I wonder if he would be on the bench.
