Leon Powe turned in a game worthy of Second Team All-NBA.

Eddie House, Glen Davis, Tony Allen and Kendrick Perkins were solid.

Easily Leon Powe, who played like a star in only 27 minutes.

Leon 18 pts. (6-10 FG, 6-7 FT), 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 2 TO's, 3 Fouls

Eddie House 20 pts. (7-12 FG), 2 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 3 Fouls
Glen Davis 21 pts. (8-17 FG, 4-8 FT), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 fouls
Tony Allen 18 pts. (5-11 FG, 3-3 FT), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 1 TO, 2 fouls
Kendrick Perkins 10 pts. (5-6 FG), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 TO's

As the regular season comes to a close and we prepare for a run at the 18th championship in Celtic history I want to remind everyone the Victory Cigar was not started to honor the player of the game, that is done and done again and is easy to identify. The Victory Cigar is exactly that to honor the key to that gamess win. It isn't about the best stats though it can be the guy who has them, it is about the player even more importantly the play or sequence of plays that keyed the victory. About defense or just filthy nasty clutch play, it is every bit Cedric Maxwell and Tiny Archibald as it is Larry Bird or Kevin McHale.

Obviously some our going to look at the box score and vote, hell some have no other option, but as we enter the postseason just thought I would bring up that this award is about the win not the box score. I at least would love for the post season when you vote for a player to also bring up the play, sequence, or reason for voting for a guy that wasn't out of the box score.

Tonight was a total toss up between Powe, TA, House, and BBD.

I went BBD I thought that he played with an energy in the 3rd and 4th that keyed the win. It continues to lack the beauty and majesty perhaps worthy of the game but points are points and Baby puts them up and he grabs his boards when they count.
