It shows me that he really cares about the Celtics. I wish I could do something for him but his job is just so big.

"He is expected to make a full recovery."

I'm always an optimist. He's in one of the best health centers in the world and the prognosis is a full recovery. It's not pancreatic cancer or an aneurism. He's motivated to live, loves his family, life and job. Maybe this is a warning for him.

Anyways, I sure hope the docs are little more accurate here than they've been with KG.

Huge fan of Danny as a player and GM. He is a true Celtic and a very nice person.

Very Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.

When are the Celtics going to do the right thing and retire his number?

Get well Danny. You have meant a lot to me as a player and exec of the greatest team in sports, but it is too early to lose you. Hang 'em up if you have to, my friend. You have done enough and if your life is at risk because of this sport we all love - it's not worth it. Be a fan like the rest of us and enjoy the C's with your family like we do.

I was floored by the news yesterday. As bad as KG news is this is more serious. So many athletes have sudden severe heart attacks that it is a blessing his heart attack was "mild". Now that he and his doctors know he has the problem there is so much that can be done to help him. Many, like DJ, don't get that chance.

Danny has done so much for the Celtics and the community. I wish him a quick recovery!
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Guess he took the KG news bad, sorry to hear that guys. I can't believe it though, he is such a young guy to be having this plus he looks like he is in good shape and not some fat ass.

A little diddy on Danny yesterday. My co-worker stops in this 7/11 in Needham everyday for coffee. He shoots the **** with the guy at the register. Today he told him that yesterday Danny came in and ordered a coffee and a pop tart. The article in the Globe said he woke up and felt the chest pains. I wonder what is true.
