Something I was hoping to see....

Post#1 » by Bad-Thoma » Fri Apr 17, 2009 2:40 pm

From the Boston Globe:
Save a seat
Garnett plans to watch the Celtics' playoff games from the bench, which he didn't do while injured during the regular season. Watching a game he can't play in is like torture for him, which is why he's hasn't done it.

"I can feel where Kevin's coming from," said Kendrick Perkins. "It messes up his head. He can't take it."

But even if he isn't on the floor, his presence is welcomed by his teammates.

"As long as I know he's supporting us, that's all that matters," said Perkins.

This is a small thing, but I was really hoping Garnett would be on the bench instead of the locker room in the playoffs if he can't go. Even if he can't contribute on the floor his intensity is still a bonus to the team, he can keep people pumped up and focused like no other. Small thing for sure, but anything helps.

I'm happy he's doing this, not so sure how refs/opposing players/opposing fans feel about it though.
This team on the road will be a beast this playoffs imo, the chemistry will be something else.

It's up to you Joe, a bet is a bet and I still feel like we can beat CLE in a 7 game series, but I mostly made the bet after reading some crap from Diesel and getting pissed off and he wouldn't take the bet anyways. So if you want to let me off the hook I guess I'd have to take it and say TY.

Very cool news. I was hoping he would sit down with the team. Poor pruitt is going to have his arms all scratched up though from garnett clenching on to him.

the Boston media would rip him apart if he wasn't on the bench.

Now they'll rip him apart for being on the bench instead of rehabbing, with CHB leading the charge...

I hate the **** media in Boston sometimes...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
