In all fairness, Leon's injury was unrelated to what sidelined him down the stretch of the regular season if I recall...

Yeah if im not mistaking Leon's latest injury was not even on the same knee as his previous one. Not sure but I think Doc mentioned it was the other knee in his interview.

There are only so many more times we will be in position to win a title with this group. You have to go for it if you can. Now if this is all talk than its all talk.

That's the thing KG has gone outside of the team doctors. The team doctors told him to shut it down and get surgery. KG wants to play so he seeking other medical treatment outside of the team doctors. I just wish KG get the surgry and come back next season healthy.

The team doctors did NOT say to "shut it down and get surgery." KG is going outside to see if there aralternative rehab remedies to the one's the team doc's suggested - no doctor is on record as telling him to "shut it down."

If we can play consistent D then we won't even need KG these first 2 rounds. However, if there is possibility of KG coming back in the ECF and Rondo can keep up his play then I think we could beat the Cavs and Lakers.
My Starting 5:

PG: Allen Iverson
SG: Paul Pierce
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Patrick Ewing

Agreed. If KG can't do further damage to that knee, no need to hold him out. As Hemingway said, we have a very limited window for another title before it becomes Lebron time, which might be here already.

Anytime someone plays hurt they favor the injury and become more susceptible to injuring other parts of their body they might not otherwise

Exactly. And all for what, to beat the Bulls in the 1st round? Not worth it. I'd honestly rather see the C's lose this series (if they do) without KG and be as healthy as possible next year...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

On Dan Patrick radio this morning, Reggie Miller discretely said KG would play at 65% if the Celtics made it passed Bulls. Reggie did say this without speaking to KG so I don't know where he's getting this info from.

Thanks for this. I think KG and Reggie are pretty close. I remember when the C's were trying to recruit Reggie Miller out of retirement that Reggie was literally at KG's house working out, or vice versa. If this is true that Reggie said it, I'd definitely say there is some validity.

Maybe it's just me being delusional, but it's already a foregone conclusion in my mind that if we make it to the ecf he'll be back.

I suspected at the beginning of the playoffs that he'd comeback at earliest for game 5, we'll see, hope he doesn't.
