"Great foul by Rondo," Doc said. "You always talk about playoff basketball. No layups. Rondo did it on the very last play, and it won the game for us."

Lets see if Doc likes it if one of the Bulls bloodies one of the Celtics (preferrably Garnett with his rediculous amount of smack talk for someone thats not playing). All of you Celtics fan would be up in arms about they way Bulls fans are. Also, nobody really posted anything about wanting Rondo suspended and deep down we knew the NBA wasn't going to assess a flagrant on Rondo after reviewing because it would be them admitting that there official got it wrong. They want to stand by there man.

If the Celtics win, congrats on barely beating a 7 seed. Looks like its 1 championship and done. No repeat.

Either way, lets hope for another exciting game tomorrow night.

So, why is this even news? I don`t get it. It was a hard foul, move on. Nothing happened...

this is how most of us feel. BRUNiNHO91 you have to get it through your head. This has nothing to do with other calls like the ben gordon one. We are talking about this incident so leave the rest of the game out of it. a 2 sec ben gordon chuck job probably wouldnt have worked. Bulls are mad because the foul wasn't flagrant. The foul fits the definition of flagrant, but officials didn't call it because there were less than 2 minutes left. That's ridiculous. I don't care what the outcome of that game was, it was a good game no matter who won. Its the fact that all this makeup call BS is being thrown around. If the refs call it right in the first place, theres no need for makeups.

Don't go off topic to ben gordan or hinrich. If you want to discuss what happened there, make a new thread. This is about one incident

ok ok, you might have a point here. The Bulls up by 11 in the 4th and they couldn't put away BOS. They had no answer for Pierce downt he stretch. I'm not a CHI nor BOS fan, and I say the Bulls deserve to lose this game aside from Rondo's intentional foul.

^^I wouldn't argue with that at all, we blew the game.

But it's just the principle of calling a last minute play properly that we're talking about. This is the same kind of crap as last year during the Spurs-Suns series in game 1 I think it was? Where they called a horrible foul on a last second three pointer?

If the refs didn't make the call at the time, fine. But retroactively recognize they made a bad call, and own up to it. Instead this only fuels the Donaghy rumors even more, that the NBA protects its refs, etc etc.

it should have been a flagrant one...going by how they've called it all year...Rondo was trying desperately to get to the ball---Physics didn't allow it....so, he hit Miller in the mouth.
He wasn't intentionally trying to hurt Miller-so, NO suspension....Tough break for Chicago at the end of the game--But it was a tough break for us that Ray Allen got called for Fouls no.4 and no.6---BOTH were Bogus as hell...Foul no.5 was justified....Time to move on to Game 6.

Man I feel like I'm back in middle school with all these damn Nancy Kerrigan posts.

As my man Arnold would say...

STOP WHINING!

The refs have been absolutely terrible. Ray getting those 2 bogus calls, Miller totally clinching up with him while Ray's trying to get by, Gordon out of bounds, Perk getting raped by Heinrich, Heinrich falling on Pierce's back, etc etc

Don't get me wrong, Rose got raped quite a few times driving to the hole and I thought Perkins got away with a lot.

It's playoff ball! Rondo's shot was unintentional and Miller hit Pierces elbow. OH MY GOD HE'S BLEEDING!!!!

See we should have swept the Bulls. If Pierce knocked down the free throw and Allen would have fouled Gordon before hitting the clutch three, then things probably would be different...but they're not and **** happens. calls will go either way and at this point you can't let the refs decide what happens because they ******* suck hard. but to sum it up....

Your boy Miller....choked!

Game 6 is gonna be epic. I think we'll go to 7 games honestly though. The next game is gonna be intense.

Go C's!

I have seen a lot of Celtics posters going on about Ben being out of bounds on that 3. Were you guys watching the TNT feed or something local? If it was TNT the 2 angles they showed didn't really give a good view. It looked like he could have been out but in no way did it prove it one way or another.
Nobody on the bench said anything that I saw and they would have had a good view.

First off lets be straight here the Bulls don't really have that guy. If you are real Bulls fan you have had Oakley and Rodman and you know right now you don't have that guy. Miller is chippy but he isn't the guy who lays the smack down and if he does it his ass is gone as fast it can happen especially calling his shot the way he did.

I could see Noah trying but I don't think CHI can afford to lose him so that leaves Thomas and his best friend is on the other team.

Linton Johnson III is a big body on the bench that we have used sparingly. I'm not saying he is that type of player but he could easily go in and foul hard and use all 6. The celtics are lucky that Oak or Rodman aren't around right now.

I wouldn't have minded if the officials gave Rondo a flagrant on that play, so long as they also correctly called that Ben Gordon play that gave him 3 freethrows even though he stepped out of bounds (even without him stepping out of bounds that call was questionable). Also if Ray wasn't thrown out of the game on bogus foul calls then I would have been fine with Rondo getting a flagrant. In my eyes Rondo recieving a shooting foul as opposed to a flagrant still doesn't make up for throwing Ray out or giving Gordon three free throws for no reason.

Hinrich throwing down Perk was worse.

No offense, but an "inadvertent smack to the face" doesn't involve a closed fist.

You are 100% CORRECT, Rondo didn't slap anybody.

He did, however, hit Miller with a CLOSED FIST.

I don't blame the refs for the fact that the Celtics are playing physical, playoff basketball- I blame the Bulls for not fighting back.

I do feel sorry for Rajon in Game 6 if even one Bull has any balls, however.

I think Bulls fans are being fools if they thing anything good would come of them trying to get payback. You are facing elimination in a series that has been decided on last second hoops and overtimes but you are hoping your team puts itself behind the 8 ball with techs and flagrant fouls. If this is what the Bulls are thinking about then this game is already over.

Fortunately for the Bulls most teams take on the demeanor of their coach and in this situation Del Negro is the perfect guy, he well get his team thinking the only payback is Game 7.

It's nice to see the trolls stopping by. I remember when Rondo got clotheslined in game 7 vs. Atlkanta last season. I hardly said anything. As long as no injuries come out of it(and they didn't in either cases) I'm not going to compplain much. There was one instance in the 1980's where the Celtics and Lakers got into a fight in a PRESEASON game. It's a physical sport so I expect something like this once in a while. It's sad how the sport has become, but it's just as bad that fans can't handle the littlist amount of violence anymore.

^Remember McHale's clothesline of Rambis in '84? These days the NBA would have had McHale locked up in jail overnight for that hit. Then it was just a personal foul...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
