What thread is that?

Sorry, meant the game thread with the debate about scrabble and resumes or whatever.

People and moderators that chimed in here need to settle down. If you don't like the thread, don't post. But, that's too much in doing right for most people here, obviously.

Boston has played four overtimes in three games and is 1-2. Again, the point of my thread is looking at Boston as oppose to discrediting Chicago. Who's talking negatively of Chicago? I wish people would STFU sometimes, including moderators. Damn. You can't begin a thread on anything on here without people criticizing you. Don't post in my threads then. For those of you that understood my thread, as always, thank you. I wasn't talking to you guys. For those running their mouths and trolling. As always, drop dead.

I'm just creating conversation and seeing what others think on this or that depending on the thread's topic. No, instead you've to get blasted by a'hole people on here.

For one how are we to know who the threads are for.....
1. Who do you want to STFU
2. Who do you want to post in your threads
3. Who do you want to drop dead

You have to clarify these points and even then some people might not understand because they are as you have called them a'holes.

damn bonsai, don't get your panties in a bunch. you started a thread, but nobody agrees with you. that's fine. it's not a bad thread, i think it's interesting. don't get mad because people don't agree with you. you start a lot of threads, and i like them for the most part. that's what the board is about, voicing opinions.

i dunno, i thought that was hysterical. nothing like working hard to convince some message board posters that you're some kind of scrabble genius with a PhD. LMAO.

All I know is that this series and the Rockets Blazers series have been some of the best playoff games I have seen this year. I actually watched game 4 O.T 2 times since the Cavs sweep against the Pistons sucked.
I hope this series goes to 7 games.

It's all good... As said, I don't have an issue with you or others usually. I'm just an easy target for trolls and big mouths. It's much nicer and more ideal to be cool with another poster. You've more intelligent conversations or joking that way. Not this typically BS I endure. I keep telling folks: I'm not Pierce, I'm me. But, they still want to fight.

billfromBoston wrote:The only thing that is somewhat embarrassing is how great a drop off their has been defensively with just a single starter missing - trade KG for Davis and the starting 5's defense has fallen apart. KG is just far too important a piece to remove to just act like its "one guy."

The team is playing uptempo because they know they are missing not only KG's experience and mobilty defensively, but his VOICE helping to organize things. God Bless Glen Davis for stepping up and playing outstanding offensive basketball, but he's never going to match KG's defensive presence from a VOCAL standpoint - doesn't have the experience necissary and is obviously not KG physically.

So the team has had to change styles and is taking nearly 15 more shots per game than during the regular season -they are running and in turn are picking their spots much more selectively.

Also - KG and Powe are the two BEST low post players. Between KG/Powe/Perk the team got the requisit 30+ post posessions to give balance to the halfcourt offense. Without 2 or those 3 the team is now almost entirely a jump shot team. They are slashing well and Perk is doing his thing, but everything is being started from the perimeter - no balance.

So this team is unbalanced offensively and doesn't have its linchpin defensive leader to organize the troops and to cover for them as an all-world, all-present help defender.

THIS IS WHO THEY ARE FOR NOW - it sux and it isn't a title contending team, but you just cannot factor in for losing an MVP type player - teams that lose players like that - especially frontcourt players - just don't recover and compensate...

If KG doesn't come back, you just accept what is and take the positive development of Perk/Rondo/Davis as your consolation prize as you wait for next year...

Best post in the thread. Last year in the first round, the Hawks averaged 87.1 ppg against us in round 1 after averaging 98.2 ppg in the regular season. This year the Bulls are averaging 106.2 ppg against us after averaging 102.2 ppg in the season.

The overtimes have inflated that average, but still. Two teams with similar offensive capability, and this year the Bulls are averaging almost TWENTY MORE ppg than the Hawks did. You're right, it's just an entirely different style of play for the Cs without Garnett, a much faster pace and more individualistic with an offensive focus instead of the defensive foundation...not even the same team.

^No kidding, they are two different teams with and without KG...and I don't particularly like the one without KG, honestly!

Missing KG and Powe really hurts our interior D. Those statistically are our two best shot blockers with Mikki coming in third. :(

IMHO DA should shake things up in the offseason for one final shot at a championship. The C's desperately need more length and athleticism. The only keepers IMHO are KG, Pierce, Perkins, Rondo..

The rest of the guys should be fair game to try to upgrade the team..

I would add Ray as untouchable as well, so basically out starting 5. Our bench is **** this year compared to last year, although I would like to see Eddie and (gasp!) Baby back...Powe too, but he's hurt...

What if House decides to opt out after this season. Would another team offer him more than the second year of his contract if he remains in Boston. I still don't know why he'd asked for (or Ainge offered him) an option year. Conversely, both of Tony's years are guaranteed. Funny, it should have had been the other way around. Instead, Ainge makes Tony's second year (next year) a team option.

^No kidding...I'd rather keep Eddie over TA. It will be interesting to see how Danny remakes the bench this offseason...it's in desperate need of an overhaul. One of our biggest strengths last year is now our biggest weakness (other than injuries)
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
