BBD hustles, plays his ass off, and If Doc hadn't pulled him for Tony Allen late, the Celts would be home resting up now.

You are either very young or you don't follow the NBA outside of Boston - Rodgers was amazing in his prime and could have been much, much better if he hadn't changed addresses so often early in his career - in Denver he was becoming a star while McDyess was out his 2nd year.

Davis is doing great offensively - no problem with his game - many 4's use the face-up mid-range game as the staple of their offense in order to set up drives, which is a great offensive option.

Defensively Davis' weight IS a concern right now because he lacks lift and latteral quickness. As a 5 his girth and footspeed are a plus for keeping post players off their spots, but as a 4 he is getting beat to the hole and getting swallowed at the basket, which is limiting his cut and pick-and-roll game a bit.

I'm more than pleased with where Davis is for a 2nd year player, let alone the 35th pick in the draft - I just really want to see him slim down and improve his defensive presence and ability to finish at the basket - they are below average and for a team predicated on defense, its more important than adding a 3 point shot.

He's above and beyond this series offensively, i'll take that anyday...but a few more rebounds would sure help and are within his ability to deliver.

Maybe some of you need to go back and watch some of this series again. Davis has put his body on guys which has created many oppertunities where Rondo and others can grab rebounds. If he doesn't body up on Tyrus he gets a hand on rebounds that end up in the backcourt where the Bull's guards get the ball. Davis has been a stellar player in the absents of Garnett.

if he gets in even better shape, extends his range to ~36% from 3, he can be an horry type player IMO.
