Just curious. Where do you guys think the Bulls should go from here? Wanted your opinions since you are the outsiders that obviously know us the most at the moment.

Yeah, re-sign Gordon. Maybe look to trade Hinrich for a solid 4, although Tyrus Thomas has certainly improved each year. Getting Deng back would be huge. I think the future of the Bulls is looking pretty sweet right now.

Great team. Just like with the Hawks last year, everyone thought that the Celtics were facing a team that could barely make the playoffs, but the truth was both teams became much better post trade deadline. The Hawks went from 8th last year to 4th this year. The Bulls should make a similar jump and be able to get to at least the 5th seed IMO.

About the team I dunno what to do with the front line, but the backcourt seems set if you bring back Gordon. I'd definitely keep Noah, and Tyrus seems great, but you need a shooting big, which Tyrus isn't yet. That big should ideally have some bulk to throw around too. Brad Miller is good for that, but he's too old and doesn't really fit into the Bulls' long term plans.

You have to resign Gordon. Rose is going to be a great one, but the rest of the team is a pupu platter. I think Rose and Gordon could make a great tandem for years, but if you decide you want to split them up, you can maybe trade Gordon later on and find some other pieces. Letting him walk and putting Hinrich in there makes you much more ordinary.

Some of you guys are trying to run Gordon out of town on a rail, but he's a guy who is legitimately scary to go up against, and that's a rare commodity to have. Not only is this series over a long time ago without him, but today's game is over at the half without him.

no way both Deng and Gordon stay in Bulls uniforms. Earlier in the season the bulls made it clear that Deng was their guy when they signed Deng to multi-yr contract on Gordon to a 1yr contract. Gordon certainly helped his stock these playoffs, look for another team to offer him a multi-yr deal.

I agree with Barkley -- Gordon is fool's gold. He's the type of player who can win close games for you but isn't really a building block -- more like a final piece. Keep Deng, have Hinrich come off the bench at either guard position, and try to find an inside game (a true PF to start alongside Noah).

get a post scorer at almost any cost... same story as the last few years IMO, but now you have rose and that makes things a lot easier

post scorer, otherwise you are not going anywhere.

I am sorry, but I really see the bulls as a hustle jumpt shooting team and that doesn't take you anywhere in 82 games season. You could win a lot during the season, but you will lose your share and by the playoffs the team is usually pretty beat.

Plus there is the problem of the team giving up on the coach.

I agree here. Let Gordon go, move Salmons to the 2, Deng at the 3, and trade Hinrich and one of either Thomas/Noah for a low post scorer. You need someone who can score consistently at the 4-5.

Use Gordon's money to pay this guy.

The Bulls got killed in game 7 in the paint. That's how you consistently win in the playoffs. If the Bulls didn't get the foul shot disparity this game wouldn't have been close. You can't count on having that type of advantage on the foul line every game without a low post threat. Unless Rose turns into a Wade, LeBron, Kobe type of scorer, you need a post scorer. Maybe Sheed?

I think Al Jefferson would be a great fit for Chicago, they shouldn't go old (and inconsistent) with Sheed -- but I doubt a package of Hinrich/Thomas or Noah would get Al away from Minnesota. But they've done crazier things...
