Iverson should go play for Nelson. He'd love it.

We've got some expiring deals. Maybe Detroit sends him our way for a future pick. Wouldn't that be ironic? Then we'd have the MLE to upgrade at wing or pg ... or both.

What a moron he is.

Like a mere 5 mil wouldn't completely set up one of his kids for an entire lifetime. Nope, it's 8 mil or retire.

These pampered buffoons haven't a clue.

One thing that hurts Iverson is other teams will look at how Philadelphia and Denver improved without him by trading him and making further trades or changes to their roster and lineup. I mean Iguodala became a different player once out of Iverson's shadow. Iverson can only hope that a contending team wants his offense. And that team can only hope that Iverson changes his tune about coming off the bench. For Wallace, it might not be about stubbornness as it obviously is in the case of Iverson.

He's a moody guy. I tend to believe that was his opinion for a recent stretch of at least 2 consecutive days.

But I have no opinion as to whether he'll actually follow that plan in July.

thats another good point really, guy has a short attention span and probably wanted to retire the day after losing to the cavs... hes probably bored already without the nba and a team to keep him amused

I still think outside of a miracle and landing artest, that sheed is the best option.. loses focus? sure, but is that really what is going to stop you from signing this guy for depth? I think he can back up center and play against the likes of dwight, shaq, Z etc much better then Dyess can, and he is a better offensive option then the Birdman (who is my second big man preference)

dont think that Ainge, Doc and likely Garnett, Pierce, Ray etc wouldnt talk to him before he (hypothetically) came here, as long as they knew he would play D and buy into the team first, just win the game attitude i think they would love to have him here

whether we will be willing to spend the MLE on someone though remains to be seen

No ****. Shades of Sprewell's "I gotta feed my family" BS...and in this crap economy...what a jerk.

Hell, if I made ONE million I'd be set for life...save, invest, live the same life I'm living now...

The 8m number doesn't add up. How is he planing on getting it? I think there are only two ways 1 a team under the cap signs him outright or 2 DET manages a sign and trade. But when you think about it, how many teams are under the cap? You don't get under the cap by paying guys like Sheed 8m. And for SnTs who is going to pay Sheed 8m AND give DET someone they consider useful for him?

Since we're all on the same page can we change the thread title to "Goodbye Rasheed Wallace"

The Celtics need a 7-footer, point guard, and a small forward. He's not one of Boston's needs so I'd rather see them stay away from him even if this is false.

I'm not in agreement... I believe he'll be back next season with someone. Big men always have a market if they can play. But, it's up to Rasheed...

Return to Boston Celtics
