The walking fingers in the palm of your hand is used in streetball to indicate "we're creeping up on you." It's fairly common and that's what KG was gesturing towards Orlando's bench.

Comments?

Personally I'm a bigger fan of KG than of the Celtics actually.....
I follow his career since the Wolves years where nothing seemed to go right (I hate losing etc.)
Since coming to Boston I am so happy for the man: he finally gets what he deserves, the Ring (I got my own now Bill.....), the recognition etc. This video changed nothing on my opinion. What do u guys have to say?

Totally agree with Red2
These are playoff games----they are the most intense in all of sports (along with hockey I assume; I'm not a hockey fan) b/c the same guys play each other up to 7 times.
KG, Rondo and any other antics are out of the player's emotional control IMO.

Just look at SVG

The actual truth behind that has to do with KG having Sam Mitchell's back. Talk to those close to the Raptors scene and they'll vouch that Calderon-Mitchell had some things going on. And it's no secret that KG's best friends, along with Chauncey Billups and Tyrone Lue, include Sam Mitchell. Mitchell was his mentor in Minny. The recent article about Chauncey in ESPN OTL also reveals how close they all were.

Obviously KG had an idea of what was going on with the Raports. He wanted to put Calderon in his place, for not showing respect to Sam Mitchell. Not because Sam asked him to, but because KG has too much love and respect for Sam (who helped make him the player he is). And KG knew what was going on from his once-in-a-while phone conversations with the coach. So he tried to put Calderon in his place.

I'm a Raptors fan and I don't remember hearing anything negative about Sam and Jose's relationship. It was widely known that Bryan Colangelo and Sam Mitchell never really got along. The 47 win season & COY award is what tied those two together.

The final breaking point was Bargnani's development, which Sam completely mishandled.

I find it hard to believe Calderon was lobbying to start when he actually volunteered to step down from starting to TJ, and right before the playoffs. Especially when Sam handed him the keys to begin with (after TJ returned).

You guys know **** tests are no big deal right? KG was testing Calderon to see if he was what Sam made him out to be.

In other words I think it was misinterpreted and overblown by some Toronto and Boston fans. Toronto fans think KG was being a dick, and Boston fans think it is some underlying motive to defend Sam. It was just a simple **** test. Hell if you have a girlfriend they pull this annoying **** on you from time to time. See if you are a man or boy...

I thought the fingers in the palm gesture was him signaling that the team was making a run.

What does Chauncey exactly say about KG's antics with Calderon? Or are you just trying to extrapolate that info on your own? Because if it's the latter, then   . I have yet to hear about any riff between Calderon and Mitchell. If there was any sort of feud, it would have leaked by now.

Just dropped by to say that the Calderon/Sam Mitchell thing is nonsense. Sam and Calderon were two of the closest people on the team. Sam consistantly said to the media how proud he was of Calderon for taking his game to the next level. There was nothing "going on" between the two; they had a great relationship.
