+/- of this run

Post#1 » by aboubata » Thu May 14, 2009 6:57 pm

Plus
1. Thibodeau won't be interviewing (big big big plus)
2. Big time experience for Perk, Rondo and Davis. these guys were part of the title last year, but they are shouldering more this year. Hopefully that would translate to less and less minutes for our stars next season.
3. Our players are going to want the title more next year and they will work hard for it and bring it every night (home court)

Minus
1. Big baby value keeps on growing and growing and I hope we don't have to overpay to keep him
2. Guys are getting tired and beat
3. we are risking more injuries.

Ainge said he would let Thibodeau interview for HC gigs.

I would rather pay Baby 4-5 mil a year because he putting up 16/7 instead of giving it to him evening though he is only putting up 7/5 but we can't find anyone else for the money.

yea but I am sure Thibodeau won't be leaving the team today to go interview. I think he will be interviewing after we are done.

last year all jobs were filled by the time we got the championship.

Well I think he is a great fit for the PHI gig and it is pretty good. I think last season was tough for him because everyone was on the player coach angle, now a bunch of them sucked this season so everyone seems primed for the deserving assistant angle as they bailed out a couple of player coaches this season.

Hopefully the boys help Tommy T take the next step by beating ORL tonight and freeing him up for a couple of hours to go to PHI.

I don't know if this was already posted in the gamethread tonight, but on the pregame show Dickerson was talking to Maxwell about Davis' value and Max started off by saying he'd likely get 10 million a year. Greg sort of coaxed him into re-evaluating his estimate and he turned it into 8-10 million, instead.

Really, Max must be on some kind of mental vacation or something here. That's twice as much as what I think he'd likely get...

KG is the reason why our defense is so good and the whole team buying into a defensive concept. Thibodeau certainly has helped heaps, but we'll be just as good without him, plus or minus a small degree.

KG is where our defense lies, and now Rondo needs to be included as well as Perk and Pierce.
