Bostons Draft workouts

Post#1 » by leper-con » Sat May 16, 2009 11:23 pm

I thought I'd start a thread on who we are looking at come draft time. We have Jermaine Taylor working out for us on Tuesday. He is scheduled to be a 2nd round pick. This is vis hoopshype. Does anyone else know who we are looking at? At thi point in Dannys tenure we know who he likes to target via the draft. He identifies a certifiable NBA skill or a slider and pulls the trigger.

thought I'd update this after looking at some of the draft sites. He sounds similar to Tony Allen with a better shot.

For the most part Celtic fans will be apathetic towards this because Boston only has the 58th overall selection due to the Kevin Garnett trade of their 1st round pick. I also don't think they plan on moving into the 1st round as they don't even really know what they have in Walker and Giddens much less starting again with another rookie on a veteran team. They may not even have a rookie on their roster when all is said and done.
I'm sure Ainge will do his due diligence and maybe even move up in the 2nd round if there is someone like Walker that he really likes.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

I get what you are thinking but with all the teams looking to trade out and the economic downturn, I think there is a great chance to pick up picks, specially if DANNY FEELS SOMEONE HE LIKES IS AVAILABLE late in the first round.

I think Danny will move out some parts that haven't done anything, like Tony Allen, Gabe Pruitt, Stephon MArbury.
This roster has plenty of room to shuffle players around. I think Baby and Powe are also up for resigning.

The safe players are PP, Rondo,Allen, Perk and KG. It is the best starting unit in the NBA.
