no way GS goes for it

GS is getting out Ellis and Jackson's contracts, so they might as well throw in the #7.

Now if it's Jackson and Ellis for Ray Allen--I'd do it...they can keep their pick (and get a PG)...We keep Rondo...Look how the salaries match up with Ray's ($19,000,000 plus salary)....GS would get out from under those contracts...and we'd be able to deal one of those guys in the years to come...PLUS, we'd still have Rondo to deal, if Ellis works out.........of course this is assuming that Ellis really wants out bad--and GS is strapped for cash....GS would be getting the short end talent-wise...but would be saving a BUTTLOAD of money--those guys both have 4 years left on their deals.....of course we might have to throw in Walker or someone.

Ray for Ellis and Jackson would be great for us IMO

Ellis being able to play the 1 and 2, jackson the 2 and 3 (even the 4 in some small ball line ups) all the while keeping Rondo and the MLE

Ellis and Jackson could take a lot of pressure off Pierce during the regular season

-edit- damn.. captain jack finished the year with 20/5/6 ... i dont think GS will give him up easily

GS would be saving about $80 Million with this deal...over the next 4 years---ONLY reason they would do it.

i realise the money it saves... but for the talent they give up, i think they would want a long term piece

Ray Allen is nearly 35 years old. I just can't see GS trading away their future + a productive player for a past his prime type player like Allen.

Look at our salaries for 2010-2011...I see where Wyc said "There's a scenario where we could offer someone a Max contract"......All you'd have on the books would be KG/Pierce/Perkins/Rondo.....you add Wade or LeBron for the MAX.....of course you'd have to add 7-8 more guys at the league min...haha.

Ellis is a dynamic offensive player. How is after the operation? His contract is big though. I doubt we'd trade for him.

Why do you guys want Ellis?

He is an offensive player who doesn't play defense and is under sized and is a shoot first player.

Why the hell do we want him in Boston?

I actually like Jackson more then Ellis...

but i think if ray goes, we really need a younger guy that can take over the scoring load during the regular season, defense of any player will improve once they get here and they have a lot of good players around them to hide their weaknesses on that end.

Monta would be a decent option to carry more of the offensive load, as would jackson... while jack would allow Pierce and KG to get a lot more rest aswell

again, its just off-season talk, gotta amuse ourselves somehow

As a W's fan, I'd consider the following:

Monta/Crawford for Rondo/Ray Allen

I wouldn't add in any of our prospects, nor our pick.

You guys

Monta/Marbury
Crawford/House
Pierce/Allen/Walker
KG/Scalabrine/Powe
Perkins/Big Baby

Us

Rondo/Belinelli/B.Jennings
R.Allen/Morrow
S-Jax/Azubuike
Randolph/Maggette/Wright
Biedrins/Turiaf

So Boston gives up the two best players (by a substantial margin) in the trade? Good luck with that.

What if we give you home town hero Leon Powe, would that be enough to get the pick?

If GS is looking to trim payroll and keep their core, what about something like R. Allen and Scalabrine for S. Jackson, Crawford, and Turiaf?

Rondo/Crawford
Jackson/Crawford
Pierce/Jackson
Garnett/Powe
Perkins/Turiaf

Gives Boston much more depth and versatility on the perimeter, and another big to bang with Dwight. Maybe Jackson is crazy enough to get in LeBron's head? Roll the dice?

We're not trading Turiaf unless we get another backup center that provides us with as good a value as Turiaf does. In other words, he's not likely to be dealt.
