It's pretty crappy for both sides IMO without the pick, throw the reputed first in and it becomes horrible for Minny and a just sort of lateral for Phoenix. Seems... well.... fictional.

I disagree, I still think it is much better for PHX without the pick included. Al has a better attitude, has always struck me as a better defender (and we haven't had the chance to see him play alongside teammates that also defend), and his stats would be more impressive in PHX's offense.

Also note that - considering the number of possessions Al had heavily defended in the low post last season, his low TO% was very impressive and suggests the solid ball handling ability (better than Amare's) which would be required within PHX's offense.

Then when you consider that Al is cheaper and locked into his contract and a bit younger, IMO Phoenix wins hands down.

I think Al is the better player of the two as well, and from a shear talent standpoint phoenix does win with or without the pick. However, I see this as being pounding a square peg in a round hole. It seems to me that putting Al into phoenix's offense would be similar to putting Elton Brand into phillies offense, regardless of how good he is it's still not a match made in heaven. Starting to like a bogus rumor anyways, so whatever ;).
