They've tried to trade for him in the past.

My mistake, why would Amare accept this trade to the grizz?

Can't see him sitting quietly over this one. I like the amare and 14th pick package better for us.

Phoenix looks like they want to rebuild. So Grizzlies might actually be a better team for him after the Suns are blown up. Besides if he doesn't like Memphis he can just leave when his contracts up.

The teams are right. Just flip around the packages, keep it simple, and you have a good trade.

Boston gets:
Amare
Barbosa

PHX gets:
2nd Pick
Ray
Gay

MEM gets:
Rondo

I don't know if that works in the checker, and Memphis might want more, as they are giving up gay too. But every team seems to get a good deal. Maybe PHX takes rubio with that 2nd pick, and keeps nash in a role model type deal.

whoa, I like that one Champ. I think Boston and Phoenix would like the deal. I agree Memphis would probably want more though. Maybe the 14th pick could be thrown in.

memphis gets jobbed bigtime, they have conley already and they view mayo as a future point guard, they have no real use for rondo if they keep conley, and they would probably be hesistant trading the #2 for rondo alone, let alone including gay. Gay is worth a pick in the 3-8 range in this draft.

Amare also is being seriously overvalued, he has character issues, has already gone to the press about a desire to move to new york and play with his old coach, and phoenix has financial issues, he isn't close to being worth Ray, #2, and Gay. Take gay out and give memphis the 14 and the deal is fine only if Wallace has major boner issues over rondo, but I don't think he does. Maybe flip barbosa to memphis and conley to boston, makes a little more sense for both so memphis rounds out with

Rondo/Barbosa
Mayo/Barbosa
Gay
Arthur/Warrick
Gasol/Darko

and I'd hope they roll the dice on the best 3/4 they can get with the 14 and that is a solid 9 man rotation.

I don't like Rondo/Ray for Amare/Barbosa on our end as much as other deals that might be out there.
You gotta make it sexy! Hips and nips, otherwise I'm not eating.

Memphis is way under the cap, the Suns wouldn't necessarily want Ray's salary and we wouldn't have to take Darko/Jaric's contracts back.

Grizz get Amare/14, Suns get Rondo, we get Gay/2

Memphis doesn't trade Gay though, IMO. Suns might have little motivation to trade the #14.

I don't know why I am bothering to comment...

Yep, you've failed in life. You're from North Dakota so that's what's expected of you. Why do you cheer for the Celtics? Is it because the closest you have to a pro team is the pig wrestling team?

Take your medication. I only come up with 1 excellent trade idea every few days. Even though you secretly want me to make more.

Potential trades, which might include the No. 2 overall pick, still are in play for the Grizzlies as the draft nears. A team insider described the Grizzlies' chances of consummating a deal as "50-50" on or before Thursday. Memphis Commercial Appeal
