We're a year ahead. No need to Fret

Post#1 » by CelticsFan11 » Fri Jul 3, 2009 4:41 am

Honestly, I'm getting sick of the worrying about FA such as Wallace not signing here and then us being behind the other NBA powers such as Cleveland and LA. It certainly would be a great addition to add them to our bench, however it is not completely 100 percent necessary.

We added 2 Superstars in one off-season two years ago, these other teams just decided to spread their additions to their team throughout different off-seasons. Sure, we're getting older, but we're also gaining more experience. Rondo showed the world that he is becoming one of the elite PG's in the league despite lacking a solid jumpshot. Perkins, i believe is one of our best offensive weapons, he was almost a guaranteed two points when we get him the ball in the paint, not to mention his great defensive efforts against superman. If the whole Rasheed thing doesn't work out, we still have big baby, whose developed a respectable jumpshot and will be a solid contributor off the bench.

If Rasheed goes to SA, then there are 4 Powers in the West, i see them lining up like this:

1. LA
2. SA
3. Portland
4. Denver

I see the conference semi-finals, and especially the conference finals being especially exhausting, and leaving whoever comes out the east with an energy-depleted team. Now, the eastern conference won't be a walk in the park, especially with the Wizards coming back, the Heat gaining experience, and a partially revived pistons. However, i believe orlando took a huge step back with losing gortat and turkoglu. VC is DONE. Cleveland, only took a sideways move, and with Garnett's passing ability we will be able to exploit shaq greatly. Oh, and bold prediction of the year: Lebron gets injured. I dont' wish him to get injured, but carrying 270 pounds around is alot to do. It provides alot of stress on the knees.

Anyways, i see us coming out the east even without rasheed, we have by far the best starting 5 in the east, and we just happened to be really kick-a*** when it comes to playing against the lakers in the finals (9 wins to 2 :P)

If i had told you 5 years ago that one day we would have Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Stephon Marbury, one of the best point guards in the league(rondo) , and Perk would become one of the best defensive big men in the league, i would have banned for straight-up-ridiculousness. So, don't fret, enjoy the times, we're the best in the league, whether ESPN wants to admit it or not, it will be us in the finals winning it all this year, not LeCrab.

Fine, but you have to pay his third year salary.

And does anyone think we can lure Lamar Odom here with a huge promise of candy assembled together by Celtic Fans? Great idea, i know. Candy4Lamar.com, lets do it.

theres only one requirement to great celtic achievement this upcoming year.

a healthy KG.

he will get you there, but putting up another banner is going to be extremely tough. as the title did run through boston, however this upcoming year, the title runs through LAKERland. how so? rondo will be forced to make a difference. ray allen will not be what he used to be 1 year older, and he will be rebuffed. we will have a strong response to paul pierce. and perkins will be battled on the interior.

but again, a healthy KG will be a big challenge.
