Yes, of course, but I'm just sayin' is all.

I always root for our young players to do well. Giddens has the skill set--- D, can shoot a bit, rebound, and he's a good passer, too. He just needs to put it all together and get some real burn in regular season and not just be the latest summer league legend.

Giddens is also an older and physically mature guy than most in his position, so he may be able to pull it together faster than the usual. It sure sounds like he's come quite a ways in a year--without real NBA experience.

Good to hear the positive reports about Giddens. I always thought the had the potential to develop into a poor man's Andre Igoudala. Similar games and body types.

I think Swift will end up on our roster. Danny's soft spot for Swift is well-documented, and Danny also has a recent track record of dealing with players that have undergone major surgeries on their knees. He's younger than Perk, and will have a chance to work with the best big man's coach the game has in Clifford Ray. If Baby ends up leaving, then a spot could open up for one of either Fazekas or Sweetney if they can impress the coaches and staff.

I also agree with Bfb's comment regarding Marbury. Hopefully the sight of other former all-stars accepting lesser roles/money will inspire him to do the same. That being said, I don't see why the C's can't offer him the full 2.8 million that they're allowed to, based on a 20% increase on his salary from last year.

I'm starting to get excited. I hope the webcast stream is decent coming out of Orlando, because I'm very eager to see the new faces and the progress that the old ones have made.

Last year JR has a "happy-to-be-here" look on his face. This year hopefully he's taking it a bit more seriously. I think he has solid potential to be our Ray Allen replacement in a couple of years.

And please, no Marbury. I thought we were overpaying by giving him the vet min. Absolutely no need to give him more than that. What part of PER less than 5 do people like so much?

Haven't seen Fazekas since college. Can he rebound or defend anymore? There is no room for a soft defender with limited athleticism on this team. He is essentially Scal, right? And Scal gets killed on this board despite the fact he delivered when asked. I just see no need to have both Scal and Fazekas.

Fazekas is a plus rebounder, much better than Scal. No comparison there. Also can shoot and score. Not a star athlete, not in Scal's league, but a legit barefoot 6-10 with decent length so he gets blocks. Also a high BBIQ.

He also is cut from the same mold as Gomes, Powe, and Baby, not being undersized he is plenty long though a little thin, but a two time All American who was extremely productive in college, two years he put up 20/10. Interestingly he was the pick right before Davis in the draft.
