Last 4 minutes:

--Fazekas with the moving pick.
--Lofton forces a jumper. Ends up about 10 feet short.
--Terrible possession with grade school floor spacing results in shot clock violation.
--Giddens turns down open 3 to drive into lane and turn it over
--Karl for 3 off nice feed from Pruitt.
--Giddens skies for a nice rebound.
--Pruitt with the nice feed to Swift--he short arms the 2 footer, but gets fouled too.
--Giddens with the poke away which leads to a fast break miss by Pruitt.
--Thunder by 11 w/6:18 left.

Why isn't Hudson playing?

"'Swift is sticking?" Are we going to really sign that guy?

Yeah, I'd like to see them try Giddens at point guard.

He doesn't have the handle for it, but like TA he does a good job finding people on the drive.

And like TA, Giddens needs the ball in his hands to be effective. It's worth a shot to see how he handles the position. His height could allow us to play House at 2...

I don't see that he needs the ball in his hands any more than any other player. He moves without the ball and plays good defense. Not seeing what you're seeing.

He's just saying that like TA, Giddens scores off the dribble rather than as a spot up guy.

yeah, giddens is a bit of a ball stopper on O. he needs to decide what he wants to do much more quickly.

Last 5 minutes:

--Giddens with the acrobatic And-1.
--Swift gets the rebound, throws it away, bear hugs a guy to stop the layup. All in 2 seconds.
--Swift throws it away at the top of the key--leads to a run out and And-1 opportunity.
--Bill Walker with the nice spin move--gets it blocked at the rim.
--Swift/Walker/Karl/Lofton/Pruitt lineup right now (w/4 minutes left)
--Karl runs point (Pruitt on the bench for Giddens) and throws it away on pass attempt to Lofton. After a 10 second scrum, ball goes back to Boston.
--Giddens w/the nice feed to BIll Walker, who finishes at the rim.
--Karl throws it away, leading to a monster jam by Harden.
--Fazekas with the runner/floater
--Hudson hasn't played in the 2nd half.
--Fazekas bricks the 3, then Karl bricks one too.
--Giddens with the easy baseline dunk.
--Game is thankfully over.

Is the guy that is coaching our SL teams also coaching the NBDL team? If so, we are in trouble.

We have no plays. And it is even worse on defense. I don`t know what they are doing but it barely looks like basketball...

With the exception of Lofton everybody else was terrible in the second half...

Watch Giddens--everything is off the dribble. Even if he's given an open stand still jumper off a nice pass, he'll dribble it between his legs a couple times and let the defender recover. If he wants to be a member of the rotation, he needs to be able to shoot those open jumpers and quit masturbating with the ball. That's why I suggested point guard--he can use his incredible first step and decent passing ability to get in the lane and make some things happen. With veterans around him, like Hill and Wallace, we might be able to get away playing Giddens at point. His defense would be a nice thing to have at the top of the defense.

Walker, in my opinion, is ahead of Giddens in terms of NBA-readiness because he can play off-the-ball. He can shoot a stand still jumper when the point guard finds him. If he's given a shot, he takes it.

Lester broke his finger and is headed back to Boston which is why he didn't play in the 2nd half...

The offense and defense suffer because Sweetney got hurt and the team can't really run a true lineup out there with decent players. Fazekas is out there playing on half a foot and Rogers isn't very good at all. Swift has actually been a good defender. He is often in the right place at the right time. The offense is very messed up with Walker at the 4, also. Giddens doesn't look phenomenal when he is the go to guy, but I can see him fitting in very well when he will be a 4th or 5th offensive option. He is very active and I love the way he crashes the glass.

Still love Lester.

Pruitt can't miss in warmups and then can't shoot in games. I don't get that guy. Lofton will never be able to get his shot off in the NBA. Doesn't have a quick enough trigger.

Giddens and Walker haven't really shown much to seperate themselves from TA yet. TA was a stud in SL.. Though Walkers shooting gives him a glimmer of hope with regards to cracking the rotation.

except potential. TA is what he is, while JR and Bill might get better. plus injuries. TA can't seem to stay healthy.
