My point was, it's already been proven that we can't. You can randomly pluck in unattainable players like Wade I suppose, but in 2011/2012 KG and Pierce are going to be shadows of their present selfs, and I really don't see that team at that time getting it done either.

My point was you could get away with Glen Davis as a starter if you are rock solid at the other 4 spots. Perk and Baby isn't a championship frontcourt but they played up to the best of their ability. The questions surround whether Rondo and Allen are still rock solid and to be fair whether Pierce still wears the cape. I think Boston could still win a title with Baby in place of Perkins, but no not in place of Kevin Garnett everything in degrees.

Most likely it is Hill or Davis.

BBD is definitely in a tough spot where teams don't want to break the bank for him because he's not worth it, but if they offer too small a deal the C's will just match.

Plus, who's in the running now? Orlando? they'd rather have Bass. Detroit? They've got asimilar but better player in Maxiell. Hornets? They would have to do a sign and trade, and the options are slim.

I think the C's should pitch a decent offer and see if he takes it, like 4 yr 10-12 mil. Or even a TA-type deal, 2 yr 5 mil. Definitely underpaid but at some point BBD might bite rather than play on a 1-yr deal.
