Gomes

Everyone talks about bringing back Posey, but what about Ryan Gomes? I remember Doc loved this guy and made a big deal at the KGconference how disappointed he was to be giving him up. Numbers wise , Scal's salary matches and the trade works in RealGM. I know that we'd likely have to sweeten the deal somehow, but maybe the 4 yrs 18 million he's woed don't look so great to Kahn as he tries to rebuild his team. they'd likely cut scal near the deadline so we could even bring him back if wanted.

Love to get Gomes back but has anyone seen him play lately?

Can he cover the small forward because not alot of minutes left at the 4 or 5 spot.

Best si\ituation for him is to back up Allen and Pierce, with Pierce guarding/playing the 2 while Allen takes his rest and Gomes covering the 3.

yea the only way we get him back is if Kahn for some reason doesnt like him at the three spot, if thats the case than he might be willing to take back expiring contracts for him; but i dont see this as likely

i would LOVE to have my boy ryan back in a celtics uniform

i wish we could have kept on to him, big al, and delonte; but they were causalities of our 17th banner

PS why the hell didnt we make a bigger run at him last year when he was a restricted free agent???

Sucks that our only young guys to trade play positions Minnesota is stocked at. Would be great to see him back in green though.

I'd like it if Gomes came back. He could help us at the 3/4 spot quite a bit.

It seems like there are so many options for us like this that we should definitely take advantage of in trade.

Isn't he Minn's starting SF? I don't think Scal will do the trick.
