After reading the MIL "rumor". I know the Cs are exploring trade options right now. But I I really think the Celtics will just end up resigning Baby and signing Tim Thomas to the BA or min. They brought in Marbury without any hesitation. This would be the best team Thomas has every played for. I think he could be a solid role player for the C's.

Some of you guys have to re-evaluate your standards.

Boston has a 1.9 LLE and a 1.3 vet minimum available to land players with any decent amount of experience - Tim Thomas may never had lived up to his hype, but at those prices he is a potential 3 position player who can get hot and light up the score board on any given night.

Put him as backup to Pierce and 3rd option F/C and you've just solved 2 of the 3 remaining issues on the team.

This is a no-brainer "yes" move unless the team has some sign-and-trade possibilities on the immediate horizon....you get guys that can score 30 off the bench when they are available dirt-cheap.

So he's the 6'10" Eddie House? Nothing wrong with that since our team needs shooters to compliment the Big 3 + Rondo. For the minimum, absolutely I'd like him. Then use Scal's contract and others as trading chips to get a PG or SF off the bench.

Celtics don't need another 3 point chucker. Rasheed, House, Scalabine and Tim Thomas will be hoisting 3 pointers left and right on the 2nd unit. Ugly.

Sure we do we just need ones that shoot it well. Antoines' problem wasn't shooting 3's that is the misconception he was pretty good at that it was the fact that he couldn't shoot 2's or make FT's at the end that was the problem.

Anyway if you can shoot 40% from 3 you can chuck as many as you want.

I'm not sure if you want so many 1-dimensional guys that fit the same dimension. Eddie is a specialist, Ray will become the same type of specialist very soon, and Scal is a semi-mobile big that can hit the 3, which is all that TT is. I would prefer Matt Barnes over TT, hes slightly more athletic and versatile.

Ow my brain hurts... that was the first and last time I will ever compliment Matt Barnes...

^ I agree that TT would be repetitive but I would rather have him for the min. than Scal with his current deal. This would allow us to create a trade package with Scal's contract to get a PG, while still keeping a 4th big who can also spell Paul some minutes.

well hell yea if we can move a Scal package for something useful and then sign TT for vet min then youve got a more diverse bench. Would be sad to see Scal go though... I like what he does on the floor usually but that damn contract is a bitter pill to swallow.
