We need 4 capable bigs

KG, Perk, and Sheed aren't going to play long minutes for a full season.

Baby needs to stay.

Or another big like Kurt Thomas (if he gets bought out) or Joe Smith.

That's who I'm hoping for. He's a good enough 4th big/3rd stringer. I don't care how old KG and Rasheed are they don't want to play just 24 minutes a game.

I agree. Keep Baby. We have enough old Fogies. Time for some young legs.

The C's need to re-sign Baby, that's what they need to do about a capable 4th big.

Baby for 10 to 15 minutes most nights, more when KG, Sheed or Perk get a night off...and they should all get a few nights off this season...and he'd be ready and able to step in if one of the 3 go down with an injury. I can't see an offer for Baby above $4 mill, 4 years happening now...maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see any teams willing to offer more this summer...the C's should match that (or offer it if no one else does) and see if they can lock Davis up for a few years.

Agree. I can't imagine Sheed and KG wanting to hang out on the bench for half the game... Also, Perkins isn't going to want to drop his minutes. He'd like to make more money some day..

How about Drew Gooden? Detroit has said they'd rather have Wilcox or Nesterovic.

Baby, Drew Gooden, Kurt Thomas would all be good options, KT can gaurd centers pretty well Gooden is the worst defender of the 3 but the best rebounder. Gooden was averaging 13 and 8 for the bulls before the trade last year (about 30 games a decent sample size), if he is our 4th big, thats pretty darn good. KT is old and more likley to accept spot minutes baby we can match, we need 1 more of those 3 and then a 7 footer maybe a swift or Rasho or Fazekas becasue if perk gets injured we are short on bulk.

Roster
1.Rondo
2.Ray
3.Pierce
4. KG
5.Perk
6. Sheed
7. Daniels
8. House
9. One of Baby, Gooden KT
10. Scal
11. Walker
12. Pruit
13. Giddons
14. TA
15. 7 footer

Or trade for a quality 3/4 type of player. Not sure how feasible that is, but it would create a more versatile roster for the playoffs. And no, I don't mean James Posey.

I'd love to get a guy that likes to get his nose dirty inside. Hit the offensive glass and draw some fouls. We really missed that when Powe went down. I think we're pretty set at center (barring injuries), but minutes at the 4 and 3 could be had.

And that's 15. I think Danny is discussing an S&T for Daniels because he wants to free up a roster spot, or two.

Let's say, the C's send TA and Pruitt out for Marquis. Daniels more than covers what TA and Pruitt can do and the C's have two roster spots open for possibilities. Maybe one goes to Powe down the road.

Or say, the C's send Scal, TA and Giddins (I doubt it, but let's say) for Daniels and McRoberts. Again Marquis more than covers what TA and JR can do, Josh does Scal duty, and Danny opens a roster spot.

A 3/4 is ideal..
