There's no way they would give up Summers in a S&T. If you found what looks like THE STEAL of the draft (although in Summer League alone...Rockets sold high on Donte Greene), would you cut bait on him right away? No chance. I don't see anyone on their roster outside of their core(Stuck, Prince, new signees) that would help us out so much. Maxiell, Kwame and Bynum are the only intriguing names....I like Bynum a lot.

Never thought of Bynum, I think theyll keep him though

Detroit isn't a good trading partner. Golden State or Portland are teams I'd try to work something out with.

Maxiell career TS% .614. BBD .526.
Maxiell career TRB 12.3 BBD 9.7
Maxiell career BLK% 4.5 BBD 1.6.
Maxiell career scoring (Per 36) 12.6 BBD 11.8

Just because you like someone better doesn't make them better. <g> in short Maxiell rebounds, better, scorers more efficently, blocks more shots, and scores at a higher clip. Thats usually the better PF.

OTOH I am not dying for this trade because backup PF/C is not such a huge need with Wallace on board.

Lets look at last year's numbers:

Davis 21 minutes / game
Maxiell 18 minutes / game

Averages
Davis 7.0/4.0/0.9
Maxiell 5.8/4.2/0.3

Totals:
Davis Steals 53 blocks 19 assists 63
Maxiell Steals 25 blocks 63 assists 24

And that was Maxiel's 3rd or 4th year, I think, as opposed to Baby's 2nd year. Baby has improved from the previous year, Maxiel has not improved since he was a rookie.

Maxiell is not coming to Boston in a sign and trade for Big Baby. Why is everyone being so silly?

Celtics will match any reasonable offer for Davis.

I can't see any team offering him MLE money. Maybe 5 but more like four. I think Danny matches that.

That's how much Detroit has to pay Big Baby for a sign and trade for Maxiell to work. Not going to happen.
