end of the bench

Post#1 » by Papa Irish31 » Mon Jul 20, 2009 1:21 am

now that the roster is shaping up danny has some decisions to make

if a sign and trade goes down, and we give up gabe tony and bill to get marquis i would seriously try to get indy to add denier to that trade to fill our backup point spot

if that happened i would also bring back big baby at whatever cost, reasonable of course possible since it doesnt appear he is going to be blown out of the water

with those moves our roster would look like this

pg rondo denier
sg ray house
sf pierce quisy
pf kg big baby
c perk sheed
11th scal
12th giddens

with that we'd have our 13th 14th and 15th spots to really tinker with since we dont really have any major holes

so who would you like to see the C's give the last three spots too in this situation?

im thinking the choices are mainly between swift, powe, hudson, sweetney, fazekas, karl, lue,

but a guy i would try to bring in for the vets min would be rodney carney

he would be great to have to match up with some of the bigger threes when necessary, or fill in if there is a minor injury

my choices would be swift, hudson, and fazekas

Until we see if there is a sign and trade, and who exactly it involves, it is hard to speculate on who will be at the end of our bench.

That being said, if it comes down to Powe or Swift, I would rather sign Powe even if it means him not playing until after the allstar break. He's better than Swift and we owe him that.

Why go after Diener when Dan Dickau is available as a FA?

Is Deiner a back-up or just a third stringer?

I would prefer him as a 3rd string guy but if we take him in a deal then so be it. Hes only 26 and has had some decent games, and he can handle 5-10 min off the bench.
