If the pacers just signed watson why not try and get diener included in the deal? He doesn't turn the ball over much and he is point guard. You could do TA or scal , Pruitt, rights to hudson and either walker or giddens for daniels and diener. Backup small forward and backup point guard problem solved with one trade. Then resign big baby and sign swift.

Why does everyone interpret an article mentioning TA and Scal as possible S&T options for Daniels as certainty that BOTH are going in the deal?!?!? IMO that's overpaying for Daniels. I'm fine with TA and Pruitt for him salary wise, but I'd really like to just sign him for the cheapest deal possible, the LLE, and use our expiring deals for someone we can't just sign on our own if a deal shows itself later in the season.

The jump that people make from what is actually put in print to what people make a post about boggles my mind. This thread title is not an example of that, but Scal + TA certainly is. We see threads like that all the time... the CP3 could be on his way out comes to mind.

TA has the worst jumper for anyone in the NBA that's a 1-2 or 3. Everytime I see him toss one up... even a 3 I just want to shoot him

Wait 'til you see Marquis Daniels' shot. Dunleavy didn't miss most of last year with knee injury...he was injured when he was hit by one of Quisy's errant 3's.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Pshaww. TA's jumper is easily as good as Rondo's if not better. <g> So its not the worst in the NBA.

Big overstatement. I dislike TA as much as the next guy, but he's not even the worst shooter at the 1-3 spots on the team, let alone the NBA.

Having said that, I hope TA is traded for Daniels. Match an offer for Baby and use the LLE on the best PG available.

= Incredible offseason.

Perk / Sheed / Swift
KG / Baby / Sheed / Scal
Pierce / Daniels / Walker
Ray / Eddie / Giddens
Rondo / LLE / Pruitt

No one is stopping us from a championship with that team.

Given the Pacers FO preference to stay away from players with offcourt issues, I'm not so sure that the Pacers would take on Tony Allen without getting some $$$ to buy him out. But that's the problem.....If it was a straight up Marquis for Tony Allen+$$$, then I would fail to see why the Pacers would do that since there would be no incentive to do it in the first place.

This doesn't IMHO mean that I think that Tony Allen won't be included in the deal....I'm just guessing that he could be included along with some incentive ( ie, Walker ) as long as $$$ is included to simply buy out Allen.

Rondo's jumper is MUCH better than TAs. That has to be a joke.
