It isn't about what we want about Baby. I love babies, including big baby.

This is business and it is probably true that baby is far more valuable to other teams than he is to the Celtics. Some of these teams have trading assets tht are much more valuable to us than they are to the team possessing them.

And Baby wants a big payday.

What the GMs are trying to do is put together a deal that makes everyone happy. Worst case here is we keep him for another contract year. I do not think we can pay him the market clearing price. So this tension will exist until either our option expires, he gets a market clearing contract or until he gets injured. He's a second round pick so we've already gotten our money's worth.

Big picture I want the Celtics level of talent to continue to increase. We draft, we develope and we deal. I don't see any reason to abandon the vision for baby. This is business.

Mikki wasn't a good fit next to Perk or Davis, but give him a training camp with us and put him next to Sheed or KG and he could be a better contributer. That being said though, Davis should be brought back, and ig not then Scal moves to the 4th big and I would make Mikki the 5th and Swift the 6th.

If you can get a package that includes another decent big and a back-up PG, then you have to consider it. Baby is decent, but we're not going to fall on our sword for him. But if something like that doesn't materialize, then we just resign him and then go sign or trade for a back-up PG..
