OT: Rambis and the T'Wolves

Post#1 » by ramshackle75 » Sun Aug 9, 2009 6:27 am

Just want to say the following:

If Kurt Rambis becomes a part of the Wolves organization, they will officially cease to be my second-favorite team. I love Big Al, but I can't cheer for any team that has anything to do with Rambis.

Unless McHale is going to show up out of nowhere and clothesline him again. Then I'll watch the Wolves again.

End of statement.

I'm cool with Rambis, especially if he can make that team better. I wonder if he'd implement the triangle with Al at the center of it. I don't know his nitch.

I doubt if he runs the Triangle. But the Wolves as built now are better suited to run, but no like Phoenix or Golden State. I can see Al having a superb season under Rambis, be cause he realizes the importance of using a quality big man. God willing with good health I see Al as an All Star this season.

I think Rambis got a raw deal from the Lakers. He took over a team that was in disarray and coached them to the western conference finals. He as then shoved aside so the Lakers could bring in Phil Jackson.

I hope the Wolves kick the Lakers butts every time they meet*.

Agreed on all points...

And I would love to see McHale clothesline Rambis for old-times sake

Better yet, they could both clothesline Phil Jackson!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Disagree, he wasn't ready to coach yet hadn't even been an assistant that long. Talent got the Lakers to the WCF in '99, not Rambis. Plus Shaq had bitched and moaned to Dr.Buss about getting Phil, you think Dr. Buss was going to piss off a guy he had just gotten 2 seasons before ? Here let me answer that.........NO.

And BTW we own the Wolves, won't be no kicking the Lakers butt no time soon !

Here's a nice image for the Wolves to put on the cover of their season ticket holder newsletter:

Poor Rambis, I can't believe they handed the poor guy the mess Mchale left behind to cleanup, but I think there going to do well under him and his staff.

By the way, I know you also recall when Rambis got up as fast as he got knocked down to woopE Mchales arse and Mchale ran like a little girl  AND Henderson got tossed in the stands by Cooper.

Also as far as Phil Jackson getting clothlined loolll I seriously doubt Mchale wants to get slapped across the head with TEN CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS....

You're clueless. McHale didn't run, the reason Rambis couldn't get to him, was that his own teammate (Worthy) was acting like a friggin' sissy and pushed him down.

I watched it then (granted, it was on a 19 inch set with fuzzy antennae reception) and I just watched it again.

I see it the same way now as I did then, McHale did not "run" from anything.

The other thing I still see is - it was incidental contact, McHale was obviously going for the ball and a foul should not have been called :)

lol, it's hilarious that Larry helps him up afterwards, like "come on, son, it's okay"
