This signing means very little to the Magic, and nothing to the rest of the league.

Thats desperate if you ask me. In fact Otis Smith took his time and got good deals. We aren't desperate just hungry.

This thread has the sound logic of a town hall health care reform meeting.

Exactly,

This is a depth signing. I certainly dont see it as desperate. Are we desperate when we eventually sign a vet PG? Cmon Maxwell. you're better than that. Hilltop's is absolutely right.

But, Why do some fans of other teams feel the need to come here and say absolutely nothing? If you are going to talk trash. At least have the courtesy to tell us why you disagree. Debate is what message boards were created for.

I really can't wait for this year though. I am getting really hyped up. If KG is healthy, I like our chances against anyone.

The same exact trolls over and over again.. stay on the Lakers board because you've never provided anything of use on here.

In regards to the Magic fan in the quote, sending the top figures of your organization to recruit arguably one of the top FAs left on the market who has championship experience is anything but desperate.

Otis Smith taking his time to get good deals? He sure learned from the outstanding job he did with the Lewis contract!

Does your daddy own this board?

We can post anywhere we choose to especially if its related to our team.

LOL @ calling Van Gundy an 'idiot moron' of a coach.

Jameer was nowhere near his old form, but he was far from the reason the Magic blew that series. If Courtney Lee's layup fell in Game 2, if Dwight knocked down his Free Throws in Game 4, and if the Magic didn't miss so many wide open shots all series long, then this talk about SVG/Nelson costing them the title would be moot. It would've been unheard of.

NO NO NO.....the Magic knock off Boston..and OWN LeBron and the Cavs---all with Rafer Alston doing a FANTASTIC job running the team--they were hitting on ALL Cylinders!!....THEN,you bring back a player who hasn't played in 4 FRIGGIN months---and basically tell Alston to take a hike----HORRIBLE decision by Stan Van Idiot.

Killed the chemistry they had going.

LOL, The guy he quoted is a Lakers fan not a magic fan. The SN LA_Titletown kinda gives it away. Now, who's your daddy?

You're a complete moron. Did you not see I quoted the Laker troll?
And then began to address the Magic fan? You should probably take the same advice seeing as how you fit that category.

I strongly disagree, but again, to each his own opinion.

Yeah because Rafer Alston was the be-all and end-all of winning an NBA Championship right? Two made free throws and a lay-up would've won that series for Orlando. Calling SVG an idiot-moron of a coach proves you don't know what you're talking about.

It's getting to the point where the primary reward in winning a championship might not be the parade, but the fans from LA, Orlando, and Cleveland shutting the hell up. Nah, it would be the parade.

Yeah, if your team can stay healthy all throughout, then you guys have a lot to be excited about. As far as who is the 'clear-cut' #1 team between Boston, Orlando and Cleveland though, I doubt there is a way to definitively say. Each team will have a lot going for them coming into the season. It'll be a war and I cant wait.

there are a lot of uncertainties among boston, cleveland and orlando.

cleveland: will shaq still be effective as he turns 38yo? will mike brown improve as a coach? will he be able to integrate shaq into the offense?

orlando: how will vc fit in? how will all the new players fit in? how will they start off the season with shard's 10 game suspension?

boston: can kg recover well from his knee injury? will the injury bug catch up with the other stars? btw, 4 of your stars are in the top 15 for total regular season minutes played for active players.

Should that not be said for Magic and Cleveland too? Why is injury only a problem for the Celtics? What guarantees me, that Howard, Carter or LeBron won't get injured too?

Ron Artest wouldn't own Pierce in any universe. Not even in those where he pulls his shorts down.

Return to Boston Celtics
