Well, I can't imagine Iverson with Orlando since they'd signed J. Williams. With Boston, it would be an interesting pairing to say the least. The idea could've made sense several weeks ago had House not opted to remain with Boston--Ainge is an Iverson fan.

Iverson catching on with a legitimate contender is all but over. Cleveland signed A. Parker, San Antonio likely will have a healthy Ginobili returning, the Lakers have Vujacic and Orlando signed V. Carter. So Iverson is left to sign with a team that has a somewhat chance to make the playoffs or can offer him a starting opportunity. He'll get both with Charlotte if such opportunity is there. But, at least he'll be in the league nexy season. Almost can't say that about Marbury who was from his (lottery) draft class.

What if Iverson had embraced this new role, and asked a team like the Celtics or Magic – who could have certainly benefited from added depth in the backcourt – to allow him to sign on at the veteran's minimum. Imagine the home crowd rising to its feet to see The Answer rip off his warm-ups and saunter over to the scorer's table. But it wasn't meant to be. It appears Iverson still view himself as an alpha dog/superstar, and wants big money, plenty of shots, and a spot in the starting lineup. Instead of Boston or Orlando, Iverson is talking about moribund franchises such as Charlotte, New York (Donnie Walsh is not interested) and Memphis (who are enticed by his ability to sell tickets and jerseys).

Iverson is a veteran who has done it and seen it all in his career. He has plenty of scoring titles and other individual honors. The one thing he doesn't have a championship ring. It is surprising he hasn't yet placed winning above all else…
