I love basketball. It's my favorite sport to both watch and play.

I'm not blessed with height (I'm 5'8", 160 lbs.), so I normally play PG. I like to pass, though I do have a decent jumper and can shoot the three ball at a good percentage. I have large hands, so even at my size I can grip the ball fairly easily. I'm a pesky defender, but of course I couldn't do much against the taller guys. I used to have good hops when I was younger (and about 20 lbs. lighter), but now that I've gained weight I can barely touch rim.

I haven't played full court basketball for a few years now, ever since I got married and had a kid, though recently I got a chance to play a game of three on three with my buddies. God I miss playing ball. :(

Mangina how tall are you? Standing upright, not drunken master or snake or crane.

Why hasn't JohnLocke come in here yet to let us all know what it is.

And can anyone help me with the single best workout or weightlifting technique for increasing vert? I gave up a while back, but that was back when I was 210. Now I am 10 pounds lighter and probably will continue to lose some more. I'm quicker and I can get up quicker but my vert doesn't seem any better. I need a simple workout that I can mix in to my already busy (3 sport plus lifting) schedule.

Thanks in advance!
