Defensivly it was Ron Harper, for the last 3 titles and he was an excellent defender of the position my main concern is not offensivly it is defensivly, I am not saying we need a great PG I am saying we have NO pg on our roster other then Rondo, no one who can stop penetration from an opposing teams point, the bulls had BJ armstrong, Ron Harper among others who played a big role, people forget that harper was an all star for the clippers.

If it's defense you want at the PG position, we still have TA here. If Hudson makes the team, he can play some defensive too with his quickness, speed, and long arms.

You've got four other guys around the point guard that can score, which is the main duty of the point guard, to handle it and get it to someone to score. Lue's not terrible in other aspects of the game either. He can at least shoot from three pretty well. You're expecting too much out of someone who'd be just an 11th or 12th man on the team if you need them to do more than just bring the ball up.

You do realize that this has never happened? Eddie doesn't turn the ball over, he forces other guys to handle the ball and they turn it over and he himself is not as good when he is on the ball. But the times that Eddie turned the ball over under pressure, while glaring, are also very rare.

I know it's happened before, not much, but yeah, it was an exaggeration to make the point. Regardless, Eddie's still easily pressured in the backcourt and we need someone who isn't Rondo at point that can initiate an offense for 5-10 minutes and, like you said, to make sure Eddie's playing the off guard. I really just don't get why they didn't give Pruitt more of a chance after how well he worked with Eddie last preseason.

I don't think that we can win the title with someone hurt from our "big 3"... therefore acquiring a backup point guard who would keep us within contention is not possible with the minimum salary. I like the roster and I'm fine with refining it, as soon as Tony has gained some interest around the league.

I do not feel that we're in a position to seek a veteran point guard at this time ... mainly because the Boston Celtic organization does not know wither or not Rajon Rondo is a motivated Celtic ?
The Boston Celtics may need to package Rondo and a player or two (2) for a veteran max contract point guard. There could be trade action around late December...
