Swapping TA for Daniels is pointless. TA is better than Daniel. Yup, TA is better than Daniels. I haven't watched Daniels play much but I guarantee TA plays way better D.

The grass is not greener on the other side. TA knowing the plays and being in this system a long time make this even more of a pointless move.

We need to stay put and snag a pg at the deadline if House/Q/Hudson don't cut it at PG. At the deadline TA and Scal will have much more value.

Yeah except if all the mins are at pg then Daniels is a lot better than Tony.

I would love Antonio at the backup point guard spot. He'd be a perfect fit here to play 10-16 minutes a game. Plus, he is going into the last year of his deal.

NO seems to be in complete salary dump mode. Makes me think Posey could be had for expirings easily.

Of course he could his contract is ridiculous why would anyone deal expirings for it?

Don't misunderstand what the Hornets are doing. They are trying to get under the tax or at least pay less of it. But their moves have been anything but salary dumps (except Butler but that was clean and at a position they were overfilled at) they have improved their team while trading short term high salary for longer term, lower salary. Much like Okafor for Chandler, in this deal they get a big in Songalia who when healthy has more value than Daniels, who was their 3rd pg and fills a need at a lower cost.

The Antonio Daniels trade was a salary dump for NO this season because they are over the luxury tax. They save about $2.68 million this season because of the NO/Minny trade.

I just think NO is looking to get rid of as many large contracts as possible.

On the part from our favorite trading partners, I hear there's buzz about a Damien Wilkins/Chucky Atkins deal being talked about that could be completed at the end of September..

If Milwaukee doesn't match the offer for Sessions then I wouldn't be surprised if Boston talks to Minny about A. Daniels.

I am not sure were things that Mathew D Hume has put out there are being treated with and my understanding is somewhere below Cetlicthug. But on the Wolves board there is thread that mentions us sending out Scal/TA/Giddens and the Wolves moving Damian Wilkins and Chucky Atkins, and it would also involve HOU, who is trying to unload Brent Barry. But for what it is worth.
