Look, I'm a Cavs fan as well as a Celtics fan. It's highly unlikely that anyone the Celtics board has watched Pavlovic play as much as I have. I'm saying he's a bum and that I'd rather see Tony Allen and Bill Walker on the floor. If you guys believe Pavs is better, so be it. I just hope you don't get the opportunity to find out otherwise from watching him play in green every night.

Having said that i'd still be a little focused on the point guard issue with my remaining roster spots.
Argument for though would be that Powe is leaking our plays to the fads(cavs) we might want a lil intel from sasha in return? .

If you want intel from Sasha, you'll be waiting awhile. He was regularly the last one in the gym in the morning and the first one to leave the gym. He had no drive and a lot of potential that he will never realize because he just doesn't care. The only times he ever looked determined were when his dad, Dusan, was in town for a visit. Sasha left the gym so fast after games and practices he didn't even shower.

He had the athletic ability defensively and shut down Vince Carter once, but he generally has an abnormally high foul rate and tends to be out of position rotationally. He can't finish at the rim, although he can get there. He telegraphs passes and turns the ball over, he's got a streaky outside shot but takes a lot of bad shots.

MB loves bigger guards, Sasha had every opportunity to win the starting 2 guard spot last year and continually whiffed.

Stay away from him, waste of money.

I think MB absolutely did not like Pavs and he knew it. I'd definitely take my chances with him for the vet min. Dude could use a big time change of scenery, imo.

He also states that a contract was offered to Bruce Bowen that was turned down. So Daniels will likely be signed next week and Danny is also trying to pickup another 3. So I would say that it's likely TA and Walker are being moved, and we're obviously looking for a little bit more depth at the 3. For some reason I can see Pavs getting signed.

Yeah, I don't think Walker is going but definately TA. We'll send TA and cash to Memphis while Indy gets a trade exception from Memphis. We get Daniels.

So yes, I full expect another veteran wing to be picked up, possibly for the LLE. So out of the remiining guys like Carney, Pavs, Udoka, and Bogans, Pavs also seems the most likely candidate..

I think you try to fit square pegs into square holes. TA is better suited for the 2, and Pavs is better suited for the 3, which is where we have a bigger need. And it wouldn't surprise me if Giddens turns out to be at least TA equal at the 2, and of course we already have Daniels who's our best backup 2. So of course Danny is gonna try to add a little more depth at the 3 - ie, Bowen. If this team is looking for defenders, Pavs is probably the best out of the remaining FAs. Don't be shocked if he ends up a Celtic.

Hmm? TA has long arms and is a good jumper. he is also jacked. If we are going strictly by "defensive ability" DA would stick with him, IMHO. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up a Celtic but Pavs doesn't fit the C's MO. He is foreign and he plays stupid. That's not really a DA kind of signing.

Pavlovic once said his best defense was better offense. As talented as he is, he feels he deserves starter's minutes. But he simply doesn't work for it. He's got his money. Phoenix would be a great situation for him, and Boston could use him off the bench, but the Celtics are better off not having a guy who would probably bitch back at Garnett in practice and blatently not care.

His potential will never be realized unless he wants to work for it. Even in a contract year, or with a different team, the NBA won't see Pavlovic at his best. Not worth it.

And that was part of the reason for the bad blood between Pavs and MB. Ironically Pavs is a very good defensive player. He had once shut down Vince Carter so completely that VC wanted to start a fight with him. Pavs is still a young guy with a little bit more upside left. If we can't get Bowen, I would take my chances with Pavs.

Im entering this argument/post late....no net for a few days....Is Pavlovic available? How?

I think he would be a great pick up if it should happen....which it wont.
