OT: Open for suggestions on how to reach out to Danny Ainge.

Post#1 » by TheOGJabroni » Tue Sep 15, 2009 3:38 pm

I'm a sophomore in college at the University of Southern Maine. Currently, I'm undeclared but I am taking an introduction to Sports Management class. I'm considering making this my major depending on how the rest of the semester goes.

My big project for the year is finding a professional level manager involved in sports that would take the time to do an interview with me. The professor told us to think big. Naturally, I thought of Danny Ainge. I don't even have the slightest clue how to reach him, or at least the first step in doing so. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd imagine you need to go through the Celtics. COntact the Celtics organization and put in your request. OR send Danny a letter, inlcude the questions you want to ask and a brief description of what your project is. BArring that approach Danny at a game and hand him an evelope with the details.

OR try his son whom is the coach of the D league team.

First, find out where he lives(Wellesley, your welcome!) Then stand in front of his windows at odd ours of the night and I'm sure he'll be willing to listen and talk to you. Bonus points for wearing a ski mask or captain kirk mask painted white!

If you find that out, pass it on. I'd fake an interview to meet Ainge. :D

I am grad student and do a lot of research interviews. yellowpages.com is your friend:

Daniel R Ainge
140 Wellesley Ave
Wellesley Hills, MA 02481
(781) 772-1981

write a formal letter requesting a research interview. send it to his house and to the celtics front office. give him 2 weeks and either follow up with a call or another letter.

I know right where he lives. It's literally right next the Babson College campus. It's actually a very modest house for Wellesley. I think Ray Ray lives right down the street too. However, I don't recommend you following WHambone's advice. I'm sure he'd be open to doing an interview with you for a school project as long as the request go through the proper channels. Try someone in public relations for the Celtics. Paint it like it will be good publicity or something. Good luck!

Thanks for everyone's help so far. It is really appreciated. I'm shocked how easy it is to find information like that.

Contacting Danny couldnt hurt, the worst thing he could do is say no. Id also try the NBDL teams in ME and Springfield if your looking for basketball.

If you understand his theological position, then the way is obvious.

I'd suggest getting a video he made an appearance in. I think it is called "Singles Ward." Or talk to the missionaries.

I don't know where you can rent it.
