link? In resent news on Yahoo for Mike Taylor the only thing listed is tat he was invited to work out for the team.

I view Hudson as a scoring guard if anything. If that is to be his role off the bench, you already get that from House and possibly Tony. So I'm not for signing Hudson.

I don't understand the fascination with players that haven't played in over a year. Didn't Marbury show last year how much it hurt to be out of the game for so long? And Tinsley was healthy, the Pacers just didn't want him around. For that reason I say not to Tinsley, no to Dickau and no to Lue.

That leaves Hudson and Taylor. I think the C's can not sign Hudson and keep his rights. This is our one chance at Taylor.

From today's Herald:

Finally, Rivers and Danny Ainge each downplayed the importance of filling the 15th roster spot.

“I don’t know if we need to fill that spot, really,” Rivers said. “There’s no rush. We’re not going to play 15 guys. We’re not going to play 12 guys. So I don’t think that’s a big a deal for us at all.”

It's hard not to read that as an invitation for Lester Hudson to join as developmental player. I mean, I don't think he's won the job by any means. They're bringing in a bunch of guys to compete for that spot but if Lester shows well he's probably got the inside track.

Rondo made a comment a few days ago about how good Lester looked. I think he's got a strong chance to be the guy.

Regardless, unless there's an injury or huge surprise none of these players are near the rotation.

Rondo's the man at point and plays a lot. Eddie House bolstered by Marquis Daniels' presence on the court backs him up. Marquis can fill in alone for spot minutes.

I don't think they are "bringing in a bunch of guys" to compete for that spot they are bringing in Dan Dickau and Lester Hudson.

Unless I'm wrong, training camp involves scrimmaging within your own team. You therefore need at least 4 point guards to run a good camp.
There is no need to sign another point. Guys of the quality we are talking about are available anytime during the year and essecially come midseason. When and if Rondo or House get injured, then we add another point. We will probably do like last year, sign Swift, if he works out great, if not, cut him and use the slot for that future vet at midseason.
