But for us the raptors are irrelevant...

OK, so let's use his (weak) argument and instead look at when the competition in the NBA was at its absolute zenith, the 1980s...

Celtics won 3 titles in the 1980s, 3 titles (in 5 Finals appearances) in a total of 7 years. While in 15 years the Craptors have...

Have we been a top 5 team since 1995-1996? Nope. Tasted some success here and there though. Won a championship in 2008. Won division titles in 2005, 2008 and 2009 (no banners for those unfortunately. Coudn't find room to hang them due to all those stupid championship banners hogging up all the space.)

Raptors greatest accomplishment since entering the league- having the record for the most consecutive games with a 3-pointer made. Amazing streak.

Other than that 1 footnote, they haven't accomplish much. 1 division title. Furthest they've gotten in the playoffs was the second round. They're basically like the Montreal Expos of the NBA, where they groom young talent, which eventually leaves when they figure out that the Raptors will never be contending.

If Vince freakin' Carter is the best player in your franchise's history, you have no business trolling. Wake me up when you add another majestic divisional banner (seriously, it's the gift that keeps on giving).

There's talk that the Raptors may retire Vince Carter's number one day. However, team officials are fearful that the #15 will take itself down from the rafters and demand that it be hung in New Jersey or Orlando instead.
