lol..Tommy is awesome..'Holy mackeral' always gets to me..

But one thing he said today in specific, had me thinking..will the addition of Shaq reduce LeBrons' game in some ways?? And I think the answer to that is YES..I know it's only pre season, but LeBron looked pretty 'out of it' today..not trying to dominate the game..feeding Shaq alot...settling for outside jumpers..mhm..it's an interesting point made by Tommy..let's see how they play out in the regular season..but I don't see them winning 66 games again this year...
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

Impressive win by your C's. Daniels looked great, he was torching Moon which is a concern for us since they will likely be matched up in the 2nd unit...

On our side if Lebron isn't his usual self you get what you saw tonight from CLE...he usually coasts in the preseason and starts slow the first few games of the regular season, which would be fine except we play you guys again next week

Anyways good game, your team looks real good.

It's always nice to win, but it was just preseason. It doesn't mean anything and has no effect on opening night for either team. The Cavs will be very tough all season.

From what I saw, Shaq will be pretty dangerous for the Cavs. LeBron's penetration allows him and Varejao to really pound the offensive boards. I honestly think they should bring him off the bench though. His bulk is much harder for teams to cope with with a back-up big, and he can be featured as the 1st option while Bron is resting or taking an on-court breather. Z is also much more effective with the 1st unit as a strictly complementary scorer.

I really liked what I saw from Rondo, Daniels and Wallace defensively. The Cavs couldn't get anything going off of their pick and rolls.

Preseason game, but still a good win. Two impressive back to back games by Daniels. House and Pierce played really well also. Hudson and Rondo played good. Shelden Williams finally showed up.

Giddens is too passive. It seems like he is scared not to mess up on offense. I like Giddens but his confidence is too there where he can help us too much. At this point a healthy TA or Walker would better suit this team.

It's nice to have civil dialogue with fans of other teams, even arch rivals. Most of the time people come over to say bad stuff and things just break down into mud slinging.
In regards to the game, there will be a totally different intensity next Tuesday. Whenever the Celtics are in Cleveland I would take a one point victory there and run, with next Tuesday being no exception. Cleveland has to be encouraged with the new dimension Shaq has added. This particular game did not show what Parker and Moon add to the team and that will remain to be seen. I would imagine that if Hickson continues to impress and if they feel nervous they may still take the plunge with Steven Jackson, giving up Z's contract. It appears that this will be a longer term fallback position for the team, but one that could be trouble for Cavs opponents. They are in a good position to wait on such a trade because non-contendors would never take on his contract and the rest of the contendors are set at that spot.
Celtics fans are pleased with the unprecendented depth that the Celtics now have. The questions will be about health and if there is any deterioration with age with the Big Three. Both teams are markedly better than the teams that met for the Eastern Conference Finals two years ago IMO so it should be a tough, competitive season.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."
