If he can keep on the boards and play D, I'll be happy. The scoring is an added bonus. I'm liking his ability to draw contact and actually convert the free throws. It sounds simple enough but not everyone can do it.

Anyway his play during preseason kind of scared me. Like the rest of you, I hope he can keep this up.

Anyone know how tall Sheldon really is? There was a shot in the game the other night where Sheldon was standing next to Marquis and appeared to only be an inch taller.

If he can keep up this level of play for 5-6 weeks, makes you wonder what they'll do with big baby.

If he can do this for 5-6 week, he secure his next contract next summer.

I thought Sheldon played great tonight. He still has bad hands when it comes to catching passes, but he rebounds well and plays pretty good defense.

I don't miss Davis at all right now.

Hey Glen, looks like your little spat with a friend may be costing you a rotation spot.

Viva Le Sheldon!

I AGREE HE has bad hands but for what we need him to do he's doing a nice job.

Looking down the road, we could be asking ourselves if we want Baby's scoring or Shelden's rebounding, and I think we have a greater need off the bench for Shelden's rebounding and defense next to KG or Sheed. Only three games, but he's looked good in each.

He is only 6'7.5" w/o shoes 6'8.5" with shoes. He has a decent wingspan 7'4.5" and standing reach 8'8" though.

I definitely see the knock on his hands. But, He is pretty active and a better athlete than I remember. He certainly doesn't have the explosiveness like Leon. But, He's not as unathletic as advertised.

He has some hops but he is a bit uncoordinated and awkward. He makes up for it with hustle though. Maybe he can have Tony Battie esque career with us. Tony was another celebrated bust who carved out a decent enough career eventually.

Nice job. I'm happy for him, great guy who tweets back to his fans every tweet (few only do that)

Hope he stays longer with Boston.

I've always wondered about his reach. 8' 8" can't be right. Giddens has an 8' 8" reach. When you watch him rebound, he certainly looks like he has a 9' reach.

Height Wingspan Reach

Giddens 6' 4.75" 6' 11.25" 8' 8"
Williams 6' 8.5" 7' 4.25" 8 8"

He's about an inch taller than Gomes with a 2 inch longer wingspan, yet his reach is over two inches shorter. I think the reach is questionable. Especially after seeing him rebound.

There were three to four balls that hit him right on the hands, and he couldnt handle it. There was also one play where he tried to draw a charge on Mo Williams on a simple rotation and he couldnt get it done. Hopefully, he will continue to work and gain more confidence because we are going to need him, at least for the next 5 weeks or so.

MARK BLOUNT V2.0! But for what he is he did ok filling in for Baby after last night I cant wait for Baby to get back though...

No way, IMO, he made some great passes, he's our highest rebounder for the season thus far, he's a banger, way better than Blount, although a different skill set entirely, more comparable to Leon.

I am very surprised with him so far. Very good defensive rebounder, great hustle, nice BBIQ, very good at setting picks. Nice player as back up.
