Gentleman the above article is pretty neat because it let's us take some time away between games and let's us just take a look at how things may have played out had the celtics gotten the 1st pick.
I think Doc Rivers had the right idea in thinking that if they landed the 1st pick that they could get KG without giving up AL Jefferson. Could you imagine a roster with Rondo, Delonte (before his issues), Pierce, Jefferson, KG, Perkins and possibly Gomes. They still could have brought in House and Posey and perhaps would still be on this team since Ray and his contract wouldn't be.
The question is.....could they have won without Ray? Although he struggled, he was vital that year.
Would you guys be happy with a roster like that?
I know we are going to get the past is past comments, live for today comments but it's just a thought that we could still have Al Jefferson and Gomes and KG......

Re: 2007 Draft revisited
Where would you put Al, Perk, and KG? You can't start them all because none of them can guard a small forward. I guess you could bring Perk off the bench, although Al would be the best one to be a sixth man. Perk and KG fit nicely together and Al could come in to provide bench scoring.
It is weird to think about, especially for a big Al Jefferson fan like myself, but I'm happy with the way things worked out.
Wouldn't KG not come here unless we got Ray too? I thought that was pretty big in getting KG to waive his no trade clause. If that's true, then I think we would've taken Durant with the pick and traded Pierce.
To me the lineup would be something like:
Rondo
West
Durant
Jefferson
Perkins
Bench: Telfair, Gomes, Scal etc.
