Wolves, you need to calm the hell down. You are going to get banned from the board if you keep this up. I love Rondo, but I'm getting tired of it.

I've been guilty of responding too, but if we just stop bumping these threads it'll end.

But there are NO plays designed for Rondo to score. Thats intentional. Rondo is the facilitator for those guys to get good shots. His gives his teammates the ball, at the proper time so they can shoot it.

There are some who say Rondo should take it upon himself to attack the rim outside of the Celtics offense. He should IGNORE THE OFFENSE DESIGNED BY DOC and decide for himself what plays to run.

These same people criticized Rondo for being difficult to coach and stubborn, and not listening to the big 3. Rondo has repeatedly been criticized for "going rogue" by Doc, Ainge and "quietly" by teammates. Doc has told Rondo on numerous occasions his teammates don't like playing with because he does his own thing and is too stubborn to listen to Doc and the "big 3".

So now he has his contract. He listens to what Doc and the Big 3 want him to do. Feed the ball to the Big 3 and stand at the 3 point line.

If the Celtics want Rondo to go to the hoop more in the offense, the solution is simple. Design some plays for him to do that. Some of the high pick and rolls like Nash gets would work well.

Until then don't criticize Rondo. Its Doc's offense, not Rondo's.

There is a play for Rondo... it is called the pick and roll. This play should be run A LOT, but it is not.

In Doc's base offense, it seems that he almost wants the others to not pass to Rondo.

As you, yourself said, they don't run plays for Rondo. I can count on one hand how many pick and rolls were designed to free Rondo this whole season. When picks are set for Rondo they are almost always designed to cause a switch for the player setting the pick, usually KG or Pierce, who then go one on one.

They should run 10 to 15 "high picks" around the top of the key, per game for him. Not so he can shoot 10 or 15 more times per game, but so he can get easy shots for people, layups for KG or Perk.

This is going to be locked. Anymore Rondo threads better have something new in them or they'll be locked as well. This has gotten ridiculous.
