I believe he is in the NBDL playing for the Laker affiliate. He is not signed by any NBA team.

After getting released by the Knicks during training camp in October,
Pruitt was with the Los Angeles D-Leage affiliate,
but got released "because of some injury."

What I wonder is did the "injury" occur after he found out
that he would not be starting?

It would be interesting to see a full list of all the guys we cut or traded. I can't think of anyone who we have gotten rid of (sense Danny came here) that has done better somewhere else. Jefferson maybe and Gomes are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. It also depends on how you view West, is he playing this year?

I don't remember if he was before Ainge or not, but Darius Songaila lasted longer than Brandon Hunter.

Here's a guy who's gone on to success after Ainge dumped him: Dahntay Jones.

The interesting thing about Dahntay Jones is that the Celtics drafted him,
traded Jones on draft day for Kendrick Perkins (4 player trade),
got him back for training camp in 2007,
where I saw during the Mohegan Sun game (2nd row seat)
that Jones was quick, but at the time in need of an offensive repetoire.
Jones was all D, plus cuts to the hoop. Tony Allen was already on the team.

Jones game has expanded greatly in the 2 years since then. The things that
Jones does now, like shoot (with the ball going in),
were not consistent back in October 2007.
The Celtics were saving roster spots to add PJ Brown and Sam Cassell,
I think they knew they would be letting Brandon Wallace go in early December
to make it a 13 man roster all the way back in October. All the other
contracts were guaranteed at that point, I think the Celtics liked
Dahntay Jones, but with 13 guaranteed contracts (including Tony & Pruitt at the time),
they wanted to keep spots open for PJ and Sam Cassell.

In the Danny era, Dahntay Jones and Will Bynum probably stand out. And OT, I wish we'd have selected CDR instead of Giddens. Oh well, nobody bats 1.000.
