Celtic's Players Transcend Scouting Reports.

Post#1 » by RondoWallace » Sun Dec 13, 2009 4:13 pm

Playing against each other in practice, have the players become more well-rounded players making it tougher for opponents to predict them:

- There was a recent article about how Rondo's shot has improved by playing against Hudson. An Hudson claimed he is better defensively.
- Pierce has improved his 3 pt % and has started taking more of them. Do you think Ray Allen/House gave him some tips on form?
Last year: .391
This year: .427
- Ray Allen is driving to the basket more, and playing the post effectively. He has had more dunks this season than the entire last year. They have even posted him up, with some match ups.
- Perkins has developed into a top 'team defense' defender, and has even become an offensive threat.

For example, the scouting report on Ray Allen says that he stays out on the arc, and shoots threes. If he is hot get up on him. If he is not play off him. When all of a sudden Ray drives, the opposing team's defensive strategy has to be re-thought.

Also, Tommy Heinson taught Scalabrine and Davis how to improve their brushstrokes on landscape paintings.

And Mike Gorman has spent several weeks teaching T.A. how to perfect saying, "it's waaay-ay-aaay better than fast food, it's Wendy's." 8-)
